The popular vote count is meaningless because Trump didn't bother to campaign in California and New York because it was pointless.

The electoral moral victory. If raw votes mattered, Trump would have ran a much different campaign and would have carried the popular vote.
This is the equivalent of saying, Trump won the most states. Great. He sure did. Has nothing to do with winning the contest.

The point is that Trump didn't campaign there. If you count just swing states (states that both parties contested), Trump had more votes (that is still irrelevant because we utilize the electoral college not total raw votes). Pointing to her huge margin in an uncontested state is silly. If the rules were different, the campaigns would be completely different.
