And that’s fine ! I have worked my whole life to prove that the system is blind to see talent like mines. Now that everyone sees it, they want me to conform to that same system that has failed me all those years. “I’m not mad at anyone. I’m just asking for the freedom to prove them all wrong.” Release me @raiders #NOMore #theyputblindersonahorseforareason #NoMoreFake

By fining Antonio Brown $215,073.53 last night for conduct detrimental to the team on Sept. 4, the Raiders voided the $29.125 million worth of guaranteed money in his deal, per league sources. This could help explain why Brown is now asking the Raiders for his release.

We have NFL stars requesting a release on social media now. I believe we have gone off the deep end

This guy is a clown. Gruden tells him he's a football player and to play ball and AB responds with "this is my life." Every working adult has to balance their job and their life. You don't see any other football player having these issues.

Raiders have played this wrong from the start. He’s a nutcase, but a manageable one. Issue is the Raiders are old guys and don’t understand AB needs to be coddled and treated like a child. Make him feel good and tell him you love him and care and shite, not telling him to man up and be a professional

I happen to disagree with that view of the situation. IMO AB has created all of this nonsense by himself. The Raiders didn't burn his feet or change the helmet rules. Then, if you don't show up for work, why wouldn't there be repercussions? He's been nothing but huge distraction and an overly selfish person. I don't believe in letting this guy get away with all that stuff then turning around and enforcing rules on everyone else.

I don't think he's asking to be released from the team

He's saying "Let me loose and Ill show you what I've got"

Yeah the horse with blinders analogy seems to go with that theme as well.

I just got an email from Antonio Brown. He tells me the team “took away my guarantees.” He added there’s “no way I play after they took that and made my contract week to week.” So at this moment, once again, don’t expect AB to play on Monday Night Football.

- Jeff Darlington

Anyone reading this as “unleash me” doesn’t understand what AB is getting at. The same issue Gruden and Mayock have

What? I believe they did plenty of the we “care” and stuff. AB clearly took advantage of it and kept pushing the line.

He’s a nutcase. But a valuable one. You have to treat him differently if you’re gonna make that investment. They do this with stars in all sports. The way teams put up with Lebron or Cam or other crazy stars. They made the investment they should have known what they were buying and made a contingency plan to make it work

Ok. I change my vote but still feel this is ALL ON AB. IMO the Raiders have been more than reasonable and he took advantage of it thinking he was untouchable. Well he thought wrong.

Funny this is now the Raiders have the power back. If he wants the big $ then he needs to play and play well.

The Raiders did treat him differently. He just took the diva role to a whole new level. Somewhere TO is saying, “Come on bro don’t u think that’s a little much?”

I wonder if Williams or Waller would turn out to be the better flex with no AB.

Tyrell has shown some promise in the past when Keenan Allen was out with injuries with LAC. So I’m thinking he’s the better option to flex than Waller.
