Yeh, that's about right

He could be the next Robert or Lewis Brinson

I just find it exciting that an outlet with BP's reputation (full of light hitting speedy SS and CF) has him in the teens

They needed to clear room for jared Oliva

.833 second half OPS at AA with 24 steals. 400+ OBP in arizona fall league with 11 bags.

My guy going to be cut loose on the basepaths!

quote:

Peguero has the chance to be a special hitter. He has an impactful swing from the right side of the plate, with plus bat speed that enables him to smash good velocity and make consistent barreled contact, and he's already developing some game power, with more to come as he adds strength to his projectable frame.

quote:

Offensively every tool is above-average, he’s an above-average runner with above-average raw. The offensive skills play up due to his keen eye and plus bat speed. The foundation here is solid, but as he adds strength he will hit for more power at the cost of some of the athleticism.

quote:

He’s also remarkably strong in the hands and wrists for a teenager and is already producing average exit velos above the big league average

40/50 power and 60 speed has him as a unanimous helium prospect among ranking sites going into 2020. Pirates scouting department has an eye for talent when they see it.

Speaking of light hitting. I especially loved this quote from Olivia

quote:

The analytics, the launch angle, how the ball comes off of your bat, that will take care of itself. Line drives will never go out of style.

OMT, I am also grudgingly willing to part with Myers, Stewart, and Gray/Kowar for Betts. If you twist my arm I can probably come off of Peguero so you’d also get the headliner the Pirates got for Marte too!
