I picked Jason Heyward for my beat the streak tonight.
I like how fantrax uses half points instead of ties.

I don't know where my team would be right now without Adam Lind

I'll preface this by saying I understand the motivation behind the rule: the committee didn't want owners to bench their entire rosters once categories were locked up.
How can you have innings pitched be a category, have a high 35 IP minimum each week, then tell owners they must have 9 pitchers in their starting lineup each day or stats from that day do not count?
Realistically, on any given week, you can be at 45+ innings on Sunday and have four or more of your starting pitchers throwing that day, and unless you have four bench pitchers, each one of those pitchers MUST be in the starting lineup.
I just don't understand how the expectation can be having innings pitched as a category up for grabs, then essentially telling owners they must keep throwing pitchers.

Yeah imo, the mistake was having the IP category and then a minimum IP requirement that is so high.
There needs to be a minimum so a guy doesnt only pitch RP and lock up K/9, whip, and ERA with ease

I think everyone would agree there needs to be a minimum inning pitched to eliminate owners from being able just to use RP.
And then there's a rule in the Constitution that I know I've broken this week, and others are breaking right now -- I don't want to say it because the punishment is stats wiped away for that day.

upon further review, the penalty is not explained, so..
7. Illegal lineups will result in no stats accumulated for that day.
b) Minor leaguers can NOT be on the active roster until they are called up to the major leagues.
I've had Rusney Castillo on my MLB team all week. I see others have MiLB on their 24-man active rosters.

I was wondering if anyone was enforcing that. When Heaney and Susac went down, I had to make moves to get them in minors slots.
I only checked Roll's team to see if he was in violation.

Bunch of shady fricks in this league, I'll tell ya. Man

I counted myself and three other teams in violation of it.
I thought because Rusney logged MLB time that he was eligible.
I only stumbled across it late last night when I found out you can't bench pitchers on Sundays -- which makes no sense to me if innings pitched is a category and there's a high 35 IP min, which was the purpose of my OP this morning.

I think in the 1st year of a league there is always some rule kinks to work out. Your pitcher example being one. And good luck enforcing the minor league rule

It also says this
quote:So you can have rusney on your mlb roster since he's played in a game, if I'm understanding this correctly.
c) Once a player has played in a MLB game, he can be moved back and forth from the minors to the active roster until the threshold is hit. Once that happens, the player can no longer be placed on a minor league roster, even if the player is actually no longer on an MLB active roster.

Good. So all 3 three other teams would be exonerated from illegal lineups.
Now, on to the original concern regarding the inability to sit pitchers.

Active roster is not your bench, if I'm not mistaken.
Active Roster are the guys that are actually in your starting lineup
Someone correct me if I'm wrong
