Not sure what you're looking to spend, but Louisville Slugger's Z- series bat are very popular. The newest model is the Z- 4000, which probably runs close to $300. It'll come in ASA and USSSA models, as well and end loaded and balanced. If you want to pay about half of that, you can still buy the Z-2000 model, which are still widely used in a lot of our leagues. You can't go wrong with either

Also, the Miken Psycho is another widely popular bat.

I used the same bar for like 4 years until it cracked a few months back. Moved on to a new one. I don't like switching around, so the above is really based on popularity of what people are swinging. I like bats whose weights are end loaded, Miken brand specifically

Thanks for the info. I don't like changing bats much either, but my Freak has seen better days

There is a new Freak, too. It's a two piece bat. I've seen a few at the park, they seem to be solid as always.

Still wouldn't mind adding another SP even after that deal, but I also am in the market for some power, preferably at the OF position.

You have any interest at all in moving Bauer?

Not particularly. I feel strapped at SP as it is.

I don't think I will be trading SP by the deadline. I've gone back and forth on it, but I need insurance for next season in case Yu or Ryu have a setback during their recovery, so I think I will stay put. Thanks and good luck in playoff

To be fair, I wasn't really interested that much in Karns until McMahon entered the equation. I reached out and inquired on 5 or 6 different pitchers last night to different teams, but Karns wasn't even really on my list. Probably why I'm still sniffing around for another SP.

I do have interest in Nick Williams but I'll wait to see how this week plays out.

Seriously, my bad. But Cobb is an ace when healthy and I don't think you were going to offer anything with that kind of potential for a package that included Karns. I may have been wrong in assuming that though.

I couldn't pass up the thought of possibly having a SP core of Yu, Cobb, Odorizzi, and Ryu by mid season next year. Add to that the young guys with huge upside like VV & Pomeranz and then the MiLB guys I have now like Stephenson. It has the potential of being a ridiculously good pitching staff, so I am willing to gamble on it. I wouldn't have given the depth of having Karns away for some average MLB player.

But touche'

no big deal, probably better than what I would've offered since I don't have a decent injured pitcher. I don't blame you

I was just going by your trade block. You are like the 3rd person who didn't want to discuss guys who were on the trade block, which is odd. If someone reaches out to me on a guy I want to trade I'll usually entertain it and put together an offer

I didn't get a lot of immediate return for my 5th round pick, but the reality of still having to wait at least another year before he was useful to me makes the deal more bearable.

fricking Tommy John.

Don't think it's going to draw interest, but

Would like to pair Snell with Brandon Moss/Matt Holliday/Rusney Castillo for an MLB OF.
