So for the championship game I noticed my opponent has Pittsburgh defense only. After waivers went through he didn’t add a defense. I then added and dropped every defense except Oakland - they play Denver, Arizona - they play the Rams and Cinci they play Cleveland.

Nothing in the rules against it and by dropping them they can’t be picked up again until next week.

So which is it a good move or am I being a dick?

Yahoo has it to where you have to hold a pick-up for a certain amount of time for it to hit waivers, in order to prevent this kind of thing. It's pretty bush league, and there should be a mechanism to stop it.

are you sure those defenses went to waivers? Most leagues put players back in free agency if they are picked up and dropped on the same day

I would just keep the defenses that are worth a shite on your bench and drop players from your bench that wouldn’t start on his team. Surely both your starters are pretty much set and you can drop 3ish players and pick up 3 defenses assuming they aren’t capped.

Savvy move if picking up and rostering them so he can’t get them. Garbage move if they are really locked.

The way Goff is playing and with gurley banged up he’ll probably pick up Arizona’s defense and beat you

There is gamesmanship and there are dick moves.

And then there is petty, childish douchbaggery.

Shame on you.

I did this one year and our commish put a rule in place to stop it. IMO, once the waivers go through, it's all fair game.

I hope you lose. Picking them up and adding them to your bench is a savvy move. This is lame and should be prevented

No rule preventing it so fair game. Can't make rule changes during the season. If the league doesn't like it then get it fixed before next year.
