I'm in a league where I start 1 RB, 1 WR, and 2 FLEX, and this is how I have my RB and FLEX shaped right now:

RB: CMC at LAR
FLEX: Jacobs at NO
FLEX: Chubb vs CIN
Bench: Pollard vs CHI

Assuming Zeke sits this week, which of these do I sit? It's 0.5 PPR too.

My motto is, start the guys you drafted to start. but I can see the temptation.

Well, you can’t bench the first 3, so

I guess Pollard.

I would certainly play Jacobs vs NO and Chubb.

My only concern with CMC is a new team, but he’ll have over a week with them now. Need to play your studs. I believe he has a BYE coming up.

Sit CMC if Zeke is out and start pollard. Need to normalize making the tough choices and sitting studs on bad matchups and uncertainty when you have a player on the bench that you know is going to ball out.

No way I could do this.

The rams are tough against the run (28th in fantasy points to running backs). We don’t know how much CMC will be used this week and how he will be used either. It should be more than last week but still an unknown. Pollard is playing the bears who are 6th in fantasy points to running backs. Game script should also be in pollards favor with the bears lacking offense. It is fantasy so anything can happen but I would be more confident in saying that Pollard will have a good game than I would in saying that CMC will have a good game. Of course this is all contingent on Zeke being out this week.

I have benched Mixon the last two weeks for Ken Walker and has worked out better for me each time. People told me both times that I couldn’t sit Mixon for Walker. If you have a player with talent (like pollard) in a good matchup with a large opportunity role then they are worth starting some times over a higher drafted player in a bad matchup.

I think I might sit Chubb. A little more fragile than the other 3 due to lesser snap share and he’s a field goal dog for a team that doesn’t really use him as a pass catcher/2 minute drill guy

Pollard is a talented player who is in an incredible spot, without much behind him that the team has shown they trust

Idk man. It’s basically choosing between 4 top 8-10 backs. Tough to go wrong.

Fade jacobs, he can’t keep reeling off huge games, and he has a foot he’s been dealing with

Pollard is your top option if you ask me

Maybe you’re right but…

Throughout NFL history, there has only been 12 RBs to score 30+ fantasy points in 3 straight games:

LaDainian Tomlinson
Barry Sanders
Marshall Faulk
Le'Veon Bell
Todd Gurley
Priest Holmes
Terrell Davis
Chris Johnson
David Johnson
Larry Johnson
Devonta Freeman
Josh Jacobs (2022)
