This post did not age well.

You can't use the results to justify sitting a second round pick. It's only the second game of the season. Sitting Evans last night is a ludicrous move to anyone that's been playing fantasy for more than a year and paying attention to what's going on. Poll 100 people in the know and all of them will say start Evans.

I mean it isn't like 8 Half PPR points are the end of the world. I mean damn are we sitting CMC after his shite game?

The best part is Evans wasn’t far off from 25+ last night.

He had 3 end zone targets that all could have been completed with a slightly better throw.

IF they were playing the Bears or the Ravens after what we saw from Jameis last week and IF there were better options, then sure let's talk it through and get some different opinions on it. But, the matchup wasn't terrible and the options didn't do much more than Evans last week either.

Calm down, Francis. I started Evans last night too, it doesn’t change the fact that the statement looks bad today based on results.

Telling people to start their studs never ages poorly, especially in week 2 of the season.

It doesn't look bad at all IMO. G clearly stated "show your work." There would have needed to be a reason to sit him. I still haven't seen any reasoning to sit him before the game.

I’m not the one who drafted Evans early to put myself in such a predicament. My only advice would be don’t draft 2nd round picks who who have to question whether to start or sit week 2

Evans went as WR8 and then WR9 (both to me) in my leagues. That’s right about where he belongs and I’m not panicking. He is getting the targets.

If one is asking to sit Evans already in week 2, it tells me they were already skeptical of him, which is funny if you wasted a 2nd rd pick on a guy you don’t have trust in. But that also explains why one would need advice on who to start or sit

I hate Evans, but he isn’t the problem. Winston is. Evans was open last night and Winston was off with his throws. Winston missed him on a few out routes that coulda had Evans’ numbers something like 7/95. I went against Evans last night and tried to follow every route he ran. He was open. If he secures that TD then he’s looking like 7/110/1.

Exactly. OJ Howard is one of the most physically gifted TEs in the league and his value is cratering because of Winston's play.

His play is affecting Evans and it will eventually cause Godwin to slide. Like I said in another thread, I don't think Winston is a good enough QB to provide value for 3 pass catching targets.

ETA: Arians' offense is really bad for TEs too. It's why I'm confident Evans will return to form.

Bruce Arians would be “shocked” if Mike Evans played again this season.

Would you like to make a bet on who scores more this year? Evans vs. Godwin.

Both must play at least 12 games, then highest point per game PPR wins. $50 sounds good

Chris Godwin with a +2 edge over Evans in PPR points per game

Bucs WR Chris Godwin has seen the most targets without a single drop this season with 113. He’s second in the NFL with 1,212 receiving yards and 9 TD. In a league with many great WR, he’s planted himself amongst the best and most reliable.

If Chris Godwin's season is over, he finishes 2019 with these figures:

* 2nd-most receiving yards per game
* 2nd-most fantasy points per game
* 2nd in catch rate on deep targets
* 5th in passer rating when targeted
* 5th in slot receptions
* 9th in yards gained per route run
