I’m a little concerned about Josh week 1, but rest of the season I’m riding

Isn't he going to lose his FA status by sitting out that long?

No, week 10 is the latest he can report and still have the season count toward FA.

I don’t think he’ll do it though. He would lose almost a million bucks every week.

I think he reports but that dude will be on the injury report all year and will not be a consistent starter. I posted earlier I doubt he gets 100 carries and I don’t even really blame him at all.

Le'Veon Bell's agent strongly hints the back will sit out several weeks, possible until Week 10. #Steelers

"Nobody should expect Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell to show up anytime soon judging by hints dropped Wednesday on SiriusXM NFL Radio by his agent Adisa Bakari.

Bakari was asked Wednesday what the current game plan is moving forward for his client and he would only answer that by asking a question of his own.

“I’ll answer that question with a question, because you know obviously I’m not going to discuss our plan publicly, but I’ll answer the question, or attempt to with a question. You’re Kevin Colbert, you’re Mike Tomlin, and you possibly have a once in a generation player for one more season, what would your plan be?” he asked.

When show co-host Brady Quinn responded that Bell would likely be used very heavily and then again asked Bakari to reveal his plan moving forward, the agent responded.

“You know, you can read in between those lines,” he said.

Bakari was then asked if this means that Bell will sit out the entire season, or just up until Week 10.

sounds like they're preparing to dig in

Steelers teammates not happy with Le’Veon Bell no show, led by vet G Ramon Foster, their player rep:
“What do you do? here’s a guy who doesn’t give a damn, I guess so we’ll treatit as such. I just hate it came to this. “

More Ramon Foster on Bell: “He’s making 7 times what I make twice as much as Al (Villanueva) is making and we’re the guys who do it for him.”

We can only hope that puts some pressure on him to come back soon. I would hate for him to come back around week 8 or 10 and then take a few weeks to get in the groove.

I don't see how players can fault him, RBs get the absolute worst treatment of any position in the league and have the shortet careers.

well if i am LB after hearing those comments... i dont know if I would fully trust my line now. One of them might miss an intentional block to sabotage a new deal.

They are playing for their own jobs and money. They arent going to risk that over this petty shite.

yeah the rookie caps fricked over rookie first round RBs pretty badly.

They control you at a fare rate for 5 years, then can franchise you twice, and after that you're pretty much all used up. Even in FA teams will be reluctant to give you anything lengthy.

Is there anyone past Connor on the depth chart worth taking a flier on? Maybe for a deeper league?

Jaylen Samuels? Stevan Ridley?

I just don’t believe he will leave $865,000 on the table (this is his per game salary)
Can't he sit out 10 games and still get his money?
