Freeman is also performing well, Gurley owners should be thrilled...

the under performers would be Johnson (injury), Bell, Murray, and Howard. The latter 2 bounced back this week so we'll see but do have threats to their touches lurking.

Mostly agree, but Gurley, Cook and LF are returning well on ADP so far. Ty Mont as well in PPR

I should have clarified - fading the guys we know arent that good - Lamar Miller, Crowell, Abdullah, Perkins, Gore, West, Blount, etc. I will say I had Gurley in that group.

Liked Hyde and Montgomery to return RB1 value

I liked most of the rookies value. Wasnt huge on LF early but his value will carry him, that's already evident. These other situations take a few weeks to figure themselves out, i think that turns people off. We will see hunt, cook, mixon and maybe even Cohen and Carson on a lot of contenders i reckon

think I said this pre draft, but those guys that the nicest thing you can say about is that "well they're getting touches" are the types I just like to avoid. Those types make for great WW pick ups in season once injuries happen but on draft day, just not appealing to me.

I still think abdullah is a talented guy just a bad fit in Detroit.

and on Miller perhaps Miami knew what it was doing a few years back when fantasy owners were screaming to feed him more touches

In PPR I think Ingram is a top 20 back right now

I think any traditional RB in Detroit is a bad fit In last 5-10 years, how many RBs have been relevant outside of Joquie Bell for maybe a portion of the season and Best before the injuries...

I'm guessing it is scheme and personnel, but I always wondered why they never tried to get a workhorse 3-down back. Like imagine Hunt or Cook on the Lions? I think they'd do well

I think we'll see Foreman take away Miller's job before the seasons end.

Name: D’Onta Foreman

School: Texas Position

fit: Running back

Stats to know: His 64 missed tackles forced as a runner were fourth-most in the draft class in 2016. What he does best: Given his size, moves very well laterally and able to change direction quickly in both the open field and in the backfield to hit cutback reads. Speed and burst is sufficient to break off big runs, even if he can’t outrun everyone. Uses subtle cuts in open spaces to make defenders miss, especially ones trying to hit him low. More of a finesse runner in a bigger frame. Has proven capable of handling a heavy workload. Possesses the size and strength to be capable of powering through defenders. Biggest concerns: Needs to be more consistent on being the player to deliver contact as a runner, and moving piles. Ball security. Even though he had the third-most carries among the draft class, his seven fumbles still gave him one of the highest fumble rates. While he didn’t give up a sack and very few pressures in pass pro, he’s fairly untested in a Texas offensive system that limited how often he actually had to engage with defenders. Pass pro and limited use as a receiver (caught 13 passes in three years) could limit his role in an NFL offense. Player comparison: Steven Jackson Bottom line: Foreman is a bigger running back, but he runs with the finesse of a smaller back. Despite his size, he has very good lateral agility and can make defenders miss. He has good vision to find cutback lanes even if he’s not always patient. Foreman could improve on delivering contact to defenders instead of absorbing it so often, as well as moving piles better. He was an effective pass blocker in college but transitioning to NFL pass protection will be an adjustment. Between that and rarely being utilized as a receiver, he may just be an early-down player early in his career. If he can be a little more physical and aggressive with the ball in his hands, he could be a highly productive runner right away.

As a Saints fan and a Kamara owner, this would please me. I was all kinds of happy when Peterson signed too. Now, not so much.

Wishful thinking I suppose that Payton would actually run the ball to protect that shitty defense. Should've know better.

The only way it's gonna make sense is if Ingram or Kamara get hurt. If not, he's droppable.

I have a feeling that Snead coming back will knock Kamara down a peg. A small one, but a peg nonetheless

y'all think Foreman has a chance to get the keys by mid season?

Miller almost becoming just a guy at this point.

He won't be the bellcow this year, IMO. He will slowly start edging towards 50% of touches until he surpasses Miller. But he won't be the guy you are hoping that can put your team over
