Well this allows him to play until the decision is made. That decision could be favorable for him. Who knows

Yep...it’ll be like losing your best player...except he’s not injured.

I’m gonna lose this week. I was projected to dominate. Lost Watson, had to bench Fuller, can’t expect anything from miller, McCoy shite the bed last night. Now Zeke coming back for my opponent

I don’t see how the decision ends up being favorable, they basically have to decide if goodell has the authority to do what he he did, and well he does because the players gave it to him

I see a lot of people upset about potentially being suspended for playoffs. I'm kinda looking at it if he can drag this out for a few more weeks and help get me a bye he's already won me a playoff game.

Also I may be wrong but if the court decides to hear his case a favorable decision next week would push that until after the season.

As a Zeke owner I could stomach him only missing the first week of my playoffs...this seems like a path towards him missing all of the playoffs...

Yep. He'll help get us into the playoffs, but I'm not sure he'll be able to help us win it.

So is this same process going to rinse/ repeat every week?

Exhausting.

Thank you baby Jesus!!!

He's my best player, but I was OK with him missing the 6 games and being back for the fantasy playoff's. Now he may not be available then if the suspension is delayed.

But I will gladly use him again this week.

Goodell has power to impose discipline but must abide by fundamental fairness in the process.

quote:

[2] In addition to the benefit of limited review, labor arbitrations do not need to provide the same procedural protections as do judicial proceedings. However, an arbitrator must grant the parties a fundamentally fair hearing. Sunshine Mining Co. v. United Steelworkers of America, 823 F.2d 1289, 1295 (9th Cir. 1987). A hearing is fundamentally fair if the minimal requirements of fairness — adequate notice, a hearing on the evidence, and an impartial decision by the arbitrator — are met. Id., citing Ficek v. Southern Pacific Co., 338 F.2d 655, 657 (9th Cir. 1964), cert. denied, 380 U.S. 988 (1965).

Although deference must be given to an arbitrator's decisions concerning procedural issues, it is generally recognized that the courts may consider a claim that a party to an arbitration has been denied a fundamentally fair hearing. Bowles Financial Group v. Stifel, Nicolaus Co., 22 F.3d 1010, 1013 (10th Cir. 1994). See also Forsythe Int'l, S.A. v. Gibbs Oil Co., 915 F.2d 1017, 1020 (5th Cir. 1990) ("In reviewing the district court's vacatur, we posit the . . . question . . . whether the arbitration proceedings were fundamentally unfair"); Hoteles Condado Beach v. Union de Tronquistas Local 901, 763 F.2d 34, 40 (1st Cir. 1985) ("Vacatur is appropriate only when the exclusion of relevant evidence `so affects the rights of a party that it may be said that he was deprived of a fair hearing'" (citation omitted)); National Post Office Mailhandlers v. United States Postal Service, 751 F.2d 834, 841 (6th Cir. 1985) ("[T]he standard for judicial review of arbitration procedures is merely whether a party to arbitration has been denied a fundamentally fair hearing"); Hall v. Eastern Air Lines, Inc., 511 F.2d 663, 663-64 (5th Cir. 1975) ("Review is not absolutely foreclosed where petitioner alleges a denial of fundamental due process").

Now this case ( CARPENTERS 46 N. CA COS. CONF. V. ZCON BLDRS), doesn't match the facts in the present case but it helps provide some grounding that arbitration decisions must be fundamentally fair and that courts can review them if they are not fair (say but not having a hearing based on the evidence that wasn't included in the hearing).

Who would have ever guessed that going to law school and having Ezekiel Elliott on my fantasy team would intersect so beautifully?
