3 dollars for something they could get at a taqueria for about half the price.
I still pay a dollar at most taqueria's. Too many places that charge a dollar for them to charge more.

lol.....yeah, I won't pay those prices. I know how to make them and do every now and then. If I was stuck paying that I would always be making them.

You should have gone the meal deal route: two tacos, chips and salsa + drink for $7.50.
While i think it is a little overpriced, it is good food that I'll buy when I see it (which isn't often).

I believe the one on that picture is the asian taco.
If they provided 3 tacos instead of 2 for the same price I would give them another shot since the tacos are good. Or at least make the 6 dollar burrito the size of a typical burrito that price instead of the size you find in a TV dinner.

Maybe, I saw the corn and it threw me off. That might just be a rogue kernal.

I've only eaten there 2, 3 times max and never had the burrito. If I go again I'll make sure to avoid it, thanks.

What? Tacos?
If I had a vertical broiler I would never have to go to a seedy taqueria again. But alas, it's hard to make al pastor at home and I don't always have 3-4 hours to cook lengua.
If they are good tacos, I'd pay 2 bucks for them maybe, just because typically what I order isn't always convenient to cook at home.
But 3 dollars a taco for just fajita is crazy.

It's an ok treat for me, I don't eat it enough to get caught up in the price. Would I look for them more if it 75 cents less per taco? Prob not. My wife usually cooks lunch/dinner for me so I rarely eat FF, food truck, etc.

Meh.
2) is it expensive?
Yes.
3) do they take cards?
Yes.
4) how do I find out when it will be downtown?

I ate it once, thought the taco was deicious, but like others have said WAY overpriced. I left hungry.
This is how I feel. Give me 3 tacos at that price, and I'd be OK with it.

Hmm havent seen on with fish and chips yet.. Was this maybe Allstar? They have a menu that seems to vary. I had crawfish ravioli and crab cake from them one week which was pretty good. That was an $10-11 but was a good bit of food.

I don't see a red one here other than Ninja Snoballs. Although Salivation Station isn't pictured but they are mainly wraps anyway.
I know Allstar has a friar because I remember Opie talking about frying pickles on the truck.

Allstar seems to be a new truck I have only seen it once. I swear the dude that works it must have worked the line at Copelands or something though because the crawfish ravioli and crab cake I had just seemed to be done up the same way Copelands does it.

Seemed like the menu was a good bit of fried stuff. I stopped looking when i got to the fish and chips part of the menu (and the $5)

next time I see him Im just going to get the crab cakes.. $6 for two very large crab cakes and Remoulade that was very good for a food truck.
Posted on 10/4/11 at 2:35 pm to Catman88

I don't know but in my experience with food trucks, which is a lot. I would bring cash, it's more than likely reasonable. Not sure what the going rates are down there but I won't pay more than a dollar per taco.
Why are you trying to answer his question in a way that turns this thread into the Portland food trucks and your own personal food truck preferences thread? Self centered much bro?
