Obviously, Brennan's in New Orleans makes the best but who makes the best in Baton Rouge?

Anyone ever make it at home?

Never seen it on a menu here in BR but I have made it home a good bit.

Ruby Slipper has a banana foster French toast.

Sullivan's has banana foster bread pudding.

That's all I got.

Cheesecske Bistro has a banana's foster cheesecake sometimes. That's the only other one I can think of.

It's pretty easy to make at home, especially without the alcohol.

This is one of the easier desserts to master at home if you can't find anything at a restaurant.

Butter
Brown sugar
Bananas
Cinnamon (nutmeg optional)
A flavored liqueur or rum

Big ole scoop of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

Yes, I made it at home a few years ago but I've been wanting it again and was wondering if there was a place close to BR that serves it.

It is incredibly easy to make at home. I haven't done it in awhile and I may tonight now.

Basically just melt butter and brown sugar together with any spices you like, add the bananas to cook for a minute, add any liquor you want, flambee, and serve over ice cream.

I was just randomly on the Stabs Yelp page and saw actual bananas foster. It was a 2 year old photo and there is no dessert menu posted online, so no idea if it’s still offered.

I used to make this for my in laws a few times, but i haven't made it in over a decade now. My kids LOVE bananas, so i think i'll make this for the family Saturday.

You'll find none better than what you can get at the Triple S on N. Foster, where the dish got it's popular name.
