Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

You mostly find people that like Port of Call are Metairie folk that don't get out very much and remember it from their teenage years.

Port of Call was awesome 20 years ago, but now there are so many options, and it has gone downhill. It really kind of sucks in comparison.

Not close. That simply demonstrates poor taste in burgers.

Maillard reaction provides more taste. You get more reaction the greater the surface area of the meat touching hot stuff. Some thick burger cooked on a grill is much less tasty.

A burger, potato, and monsoon from Port of Call is a great time for me. Maybe it's not the best in the city anymore because there are so many other options these days. But there's something about sitting at the round table in the back with friends, eating and drinking and then trying to split the bill ourselves because they won't split the bill for you!

Exactly, port of call is fun because of the drinking and atmosphere. Their burger should never be in the best burger in town discussion.

I was genuinely concerned about being able to get out of there in the event of a fire. All of those people and only one visible exit.

I miss the days when port of call was the undisputed best burger in the city. Too much competition these days which isn’t bad just a lot of options and some aren’t as good.

I always thought the burger at Snug Harbor was mostly the same as PoC, and that place is much nicer to eat at. PoC is grimy AF.

You have $30 to spend and all afternoon to chow. Where are you going for a burger, Paul?

I like Port of Call but I prefer not to eat there unless I don't have anything to do the rest of the day.

Houston’s on St. Charles. Most underrated burger in the city. Plus I love their shoestring fries.

Houston’s on St. Charles is arguably one of the better looking restaurants in the city. Love the bar area and their inside decor.
