For whatever reason, our Sam's always has the exact same bottles. Most everything else changes, but not their whisky. I walk buy once a week and it's always the same.

Was telling someone from out of town recently about the bourbon/whiskey selection at some of the Chevron stations around here and he was shocked. "at a gas station?"

odd for sure. when i was a wee tot in the 1970s my papaw would give me some cash to get him a 5th of crown at the 711 and i could use the change to buy candy.

store clerk never batted an eye. hopped on my bike with a bottle of liquor and marathon bar swinging in a bag from my handlebars.

now in 2021 at 55 years old and living in TN i have to drive across town to a specialty liquor store and show them my driver's license to buy a lousy bottle of vodka.

Member of the ownership family is a bourbon guy. I got to see his collection in the back office of the one near Menard. Pretty sweet. he once put out a bunch of SR and a bottle of Blantons. I bougthit all lol. I got my one and only bottle of Taylor at the one near Alpine Golf course.

Check out the one by Johnny Downs. Not his family(I don't think), but it's like a liquor store inside a gas station.

I havent seen weller, eagle rare, or blantons in over 2 years.

I take that back the pig grocery store in madisonville had 1 bottle of weller special reserve the other week for like $80.

Penelope is pretty good, rouses has it on some stupid shelf so nobody ever sees it.

I saw this this morning.

I've never seen it even listed online. Which makes me what to believe they either had it recently or are getting it soon

I don’t see any in Alexandria. No whiskey at all, really.

They had some boxes on a pallet in the middle of the aisle, so I started digging in them to see if any Blantons were in there lol.

My connection in TN only had pints of blantons this month. Never seen them before but got one for a gift along with a weller 107. Can’t complain most places have nothing.
