It was good in 1998.
I haven't been to one in decades. And it was the one on St. Charles and Napolean.
When it started getting too culture-y, I pulled the plug.
They made a good trout almondine.

i thought the whole point of debris was that they scooped it from the bottom of the pot, where it fell into the gravy.

Was awesome.

Used to love the spin dip with the bow tie pasta.

Last time I had the spin dip it wasn't close to how good it used to be.

Eggplant Pirogue was great too.

I called the manager when I got home and found how crappy the order was filled and how bad the food was prepared. I emailed her a picture of the roast beef poboy or whatever it was. She wanted me to come back and get food, but we didn't feel like doing that and I wasn't convinced it would be any better. It's been bad before and I've called to let them know before. She insisted on sending a gift card. This time I agreed, but the child can use it. I have no intention of using it.

Copeland's isn't even a shell of it's former self in my opinion. Even when it opened multiple locations, initially, it was still pretty good for what it was. It's evolved into just bad food. I remember having a steak when that was first offered. It was gray and just not good. Never did that again. A few years ago, I had a good blue cheese chopped salad there. Maybe it's still good, but I will try to avoid finding out.

lol, I used to knight hard for them. It has been B A D, bad the last few times I went.

Things I used to get all the time taste off, the biscuits even taste different. Maybe it's the new franchises or the management after Al died (Al micromanaged hard, he once came on a Saturday just to fire a kitchen manager in front of all of us) but it's not the same.
I think Bobby Hebert's place now is like what Copeland's used to be. When the kids want Copeland's we go to Bobby's.

The last time I went to Copeland's was one of the only times I have sent back food. I cannot defend it anymore. Me and Gris have talked about Copeland's on here before. It's just not the same anymore and like her I find myself only going when it's specifically requested.

the Pirouge and the Shrimp and Tasso were my go to items. Now I'm convinced they get frozen eggplant as it's mushy now and the pasta dishes are always runny.

I don't know if they even still have Cheesecake Bistro, but they did Debris and Roast, by keeping Sirloins in a au jus in the steamer at all times, it made for a great texture.
