It's really not a bad area at all.

You're right. The homeless folks underneath the overpass put on a helluva tailgate.

Still, since the Saints have a bye will probably head there today.

Ignore the fact that it is in shady part of town because parking lot is fenced in fairly well.

Huh?

Anyway, I think I'm give it a try. I know I can look it up, but what is the annual membership fee?

So anyone been to the NOLA location?

Im wondering if is being infiltrated with trash. Figures the membership fees will keep them out?

no trash both times I went. Definitely worth the $55 membership fee. You will make that back on the non-perishable goods your routinely purchase on one Costco trip.

Meat section is off the hook.

Ok, just came back from Costco in NOLA. Beer was what I expected- $20 for a 24 pack of BMC, Sam Adams Oktoberfest was $25 for a 24 pack. Didn't look too closely at the wine, but champagne/sparklers were about the same as anywhere else, save the Kirkland Signature sparkling and wines.

From what I noticed about the liquor, there were some deals to be had. THe Jameson was $39.99, but it was for the 1.75L bottle, not the gallon size as previously reported. They had some good prices on Woodford, Makers, and lots of Jack and Jim Beam. Glenlivet 12 was $34 I believe. They also had a Kirkland Signature Single Malt 18 Year Speyside, aged in Sherry Oak casks, for $18 and at 20 Year for $30 I believe. Grey Goose was maybe $45 for a handle. Saw a MacCallan 25 there, as well as MacCallan The Flask. Other bourbons and scotches could be found as well.

Handle of Patron Silver was $80 (whatever, not a huge fan); however I did pick up a liter bottle of Anejo for $19. Going to try it out later today.

So there you go.

I was at the farmer's market in Orenco Station this morning and a guy noticed that I was wearing my LSU hoodie and came up to me to tell me he was having flashbacks because he had been in NOLA for three weeks about a month or so ago, and saw LSU gear everywhere. I asked him what he was doing down in NOLA for three weeks and he said it was because he was working for Costco and they were opening a store down there.

I thought that was funny, and told him about this thread. He said to let everyone know that Sam's can't compare...
