I ate a lot of goetta for breakfast when I lived in Cincinnati cause they had it in the cafeteria where I worked. Meh…never had it since.

I could see that being pretty banal in a cafeteria setting.
A few standalone brick-and-mortars in Cincy and northern Kentucky do goetta well - it’s a good complement to other breakfast staples.
It’s not revelatory. But I like it as a regional curio.

Family friend’s grand parents were from PA. They made it several times along with lots of other regional dishes. Scrapple is an acquired taste. The other stuff they made was better.
