How'd you like the Logsdon? That is a beautiful beer, IMO.

Fruit beer festival coming up in Portland. May take my wife there. Logsdon will have a couple of beers there. I heard that Cascade and New Belgium usually brew one offs for the occasion...

Logsdon is a brewery that I want to visit. I have heard that it is beautiful out there. I think they grow some of the hops that they use right there on the farm where the brewery is located.

Heads up. There is a brewery called Heathen that a couple of guys started out of their garage a year or two ago, in Vancouver, WA (a Portland suburb). They just started bottling their beer this week. That website you use will probably pick them up, soon. The beers that I have tried have been very good. This is an up and coming brewery that could start making noise...

The two Logsdon's that I tried with Rouge a few weeks back were awesome. Great, refreshing summer beers.

That's nice. I did that the first year my son was in college (RPI). Now it's, "Screw it, we're paying for your plane ticket home. You figure it all out..."

I need to rethink that. RPI is just a few hours from both The Alchemist and Hill Farmstead. I'm gonna have to make that trip again...

Logsdon is in the Hood River valley. Heathen is in Vancouver, WA - not to be confused with Vancouver, BC. Heathen Brewery is small - really restricted to the Portland metropolitan area, right now. You may have seen me talk about them on this thread in the past. The fact that they are bottling now means that they are probably going to extend out past the Portland area.

It is a little different with a daughter--or maybe I just spoil her. Also it is only about 2.5 hours away and there are some excellent restaurants in Jackson that I enjoy.

FBD is an Envie in the hotel room before heading to dinner.

I was just amused by the fact that there's a Vancouver, Washington that's a suburb of Portland.

...I'm easily amused

F&SBD were sours from Panil, an Italian brewery. Divina & Raphael. I recommend you pass on both.

Next is a DFH Black & Blue shared with the wife.
