FBD: Fort Collins Hoptitude Imperial Extra Pale Ale

This isn't hoppy at all. In fact, the beer is very sweet and finishes with a lemony-malty taste to it. It's downright dreadful.

I had the Sumpin' Extra, but not the Sumpin' Sumpin'. First time having that one, and it is wonderful.

Back home with more hops and proper glassware:

FBD after a long day at work is a Stone Ruination dated Enjoy By 9/16/14. A rare relatively fresh Stone IPA sighting at Matherne's.

Good to see a few new to FBD posters joining us the last few days. We live in a great time for craft beer.

I have to say, Ruination is probably my least favorite Stone IPA. It just has this bitter grainy finish that I don't enjoy. RuinTen is better. Enjoy By is way better. Go To is much better. And the regular IPA is better. And that's not even counting all the special release collaboration IPAs.

I agree with this 100%, but they did not have any RuinTen and I drank my last Enjoy By last night. Ruination is too bitter without the good hops components. At least it is not sweet and malty.

What a glutton for punishment. First Lagunitas, then Pliny...
Sorry for your suffering.

Holding off on whiskey to try to get this keg empty.

What time did you go? I stopped by around 5 or so and they had at least one or two sixers in the cooler

I'm sure that's what I had. I didn't look at the label too closely. Was it in the bombers?
