Fricassee - try this one boys it's a winner

Louisiana Woman blog Chicken Fricassee

Made it this weekend; it was a big hit, everybody ate the hell out of it and wanted more.

The only thing I do different is dust the chicken pieces with flour before browning, and I doctored the dumplings a little, the way my dad used to make them.

Great stuff.

I make this almost exactly, but no dumplings and serve over rice

I’ve never heard of dumplings in fricassee but that sounds good.

Fricassee is usually thicker than gumbo.
