BB’s has to use a jarred roux. It’s too good and consistent for a chain.

I live 7 mins from there, too easy. Crab Cakes and Crab Bisque are great.
Met the owner the second day they opened. Her Dad was Brad, named the restaurant after him. Brad was a commercial fisherman. The daughter who’s the owner, was just about raised on a boat. She knows more about seafood than most folks I know.
When in town, I eat there at least once a week.

Honestly, the best seafood restaurants in the area are not even in Houston. Check out Monument Inn in Baytown, Pier 6 in San Leon, and Gilhoulis in San Leon.

The Monument is not bad…big fan of the stuffed jalapeños there.
Pier 6 is good…the crispy red snapper and of course oysters off their own boats…hell of a hike down there though.
