To get what's in your pic, ask the butcher at Albertsons for uncut plate ribs. They usually come 4 or 5 ribs to a plate.
I know that the Albertsons in Broussard always has them, but they are never on display.

Cut ones came out great on the grill btw.

They probably did, but you can get them for much cheaper than $7.49 a pound.

So I bought a large rack of beef plate ribs at a local slaughterhouse last week, did a salt/black pepper rub along with a beef BBQ seasoning from Texas, put on BGE @225 w/some oak chunks and didn't open it for 6 hrs, sprayed w/apple juice every 30 mins thereafter for 2hrs until internal temp of 203F. Put in styrofoam ice chest lined w/foil for 90 mins. The Best. Sorry, no pics, too much other stuff going on, will take them next time. Thanks for all the advice. Will go look at Albertsons in Broussard this week.

everyone keeps bringing up plate (or short) ribs. this is not what the OP is asking for
what OP wants is beef BACK ribs. the part thats left after the prime roast is removed. if a grocery store or meat market sells whole boneless prime rib roast, then chances are they can cut you a rack of back ribs.

big thick beef ribs, not the trimmed ribs, or little short ribs.

Nope, he wants either Short Plate Ribs or Short Chuck ribs. They come in three and four bone slabs and are humongous. They are awesome.
