Heck the main benefit to not drinking is you can control you hunger better.

When I drink, it has almost the same effect as pot and I am always starved. Plus with a clear head you can steer yourself away from bad food choices.

Very true.

I'm heading to The People's Republic of Vermont, where they care more about the carbon footprint of the food than its taste, I'll likely lose 10 lbs in a week. The fast food places don't have drive-thru windows, that would cause cars to idle increasing pollution. Seriously. However smoking pot is freely accepted, I wonder where the fumes go?

Ahhh, the nonsensical pleasure of unadulterated liberalism.

My contribution today. Splurged and had chinese for the first time in two months. Not too bad though. About 850 calories. Cut back the rest of the day.

Yes. It of course came off much faster in the first few months. Now it is a slow crawl.

I'm going to stick to it up until the 1 year mark then I am done with it and will just maintain whatever weight I am at.

I figured if I could stop drinking forever, I could certainly restrict my diet for 1 year.

224 still... despite a horrible diet the last few days.

Running then kickball tonight, and I need a few low-calorie days to get kickstarted. Haven't seen much change in a few weeks.

Been slacking alloy since this thread started. Started at 198, and have been bouncing around between 194 and 198 depending on the day. Got back on the elliptical for the first time in a long time (I'd been jogging before). I've got to remember to do that moe often. 194 this morning and I'm off to a physical at the doctors office.

I just decided that I need to pull off some weight myself and saw this thread. Hopefully it will help me stay motivated. I want to crack the 200 mark and hit 199 lbs and then see where to go from there. I weighed in Monday at 232.4 lbs. This morning I weighed in at 230.8

Monday - 1331 cals
Tuesday - 1381 cals
Wed -1590 cal

For exercise I have been following the Body for Life exercise plan. Here is to dropping some pounds and increasing post count (for OT cred ).

234.0 this morning. Going to Houston Saturday and coming back Sunday for my birthday. Gonna try to find some good Mexican food and drinks and watch LSU/AU. Other than that I'll be sticking to the diet.

232.4/230.4

I am down two pounds, right around by two pounds a week target.

Yesterday I ate 1334 calories.

I tried to do the Body for Life 20 min HIIT cardio. My wind needs to pick up. I ended up doing the treadmill for a constant pace after the failed HIIT and stationary bike for 10 minutes.

I also use the Lose it App for the iPhone to track everything I eat. I also bought a food scale, so I know every calorie that I consume. It has been helpful.

+1 on that. A food scale makes dieting much easier. If you like veggies you'll find you can eat a lot of food and keep a low calorie count too.

Damn, that is great. Do it while you're young, harder the older you get.

I'm 308/276, at 60 the only easy way to lose weight at my age is to cut off body parts. Like do I really need both ears?
