it does suck. just mentally prepare yourself to bring your own prepared food or hit a smoothie king or something and get a protein shake for lunch.

eating out = death of your diet

This is one of the reasons I pack my lunch most days. Before going out to eat, I look at the menu/nutritional information online and pick one or two items that are healthy and order those when I get to the restaurant. That way I don't have unhealthy food remorse.

I do have a few go to items in my head for fast food days, so no research is necessary for those.

Plain simple truth, my willpower is very very very limited which is why for the most part I have been a hermit for this diet.

I can look at the menu in advance and determine what I SHOULD eat, but then once I get to the restaurant, the Cookie Monster part of my brain takes over and next thing I know there are children crying, ladies passed out and empty plates all over the place.

what I SHOULD eat

Ah yes, you get to the root of all evil my friend. What we SHOULD eat (and how much). I just like to friggin eat. But this time around there are no guilt trips for me. If something crashes in that should not be there I just shrug it off and cut back a little bit somewhere else.

Think I am about to make the next step after two months and 20 lbs lost. Joining a health club. Kinda excited about that again.

Good luck all!

Don't get me wrong, I do indulge, in small doses though. It keeps me from binge eating. Deprivation is not for me!

I can count on one hand how many times I've been totally out of control since May.

Down 26 lbs and counting....less than 10 to go!

+1
I always leave the house with the best of intentions, but it usually doesn't end well.

So pissed off my head is about to explode.

That phantom pound refuses to leave.

And no cad I can't eat to confuse my body, I already did that and gained 3 pounds and it took a week to get rid of that to get back to where I was.

my friend .. you might just be done then ... man, you have lost an incredible amount of weight .. look at it that way ... a nutritionist friend of mine once told me that about the most the average person can lose on their own through diet and exercise is about 80 pounds ... most weight loss over that usually involves some type of surgery ... sure, there are jareds out there that have lost 140 pounds on their own .. but we are talking about the average person ... you have pulled off an amazing accomplishment to this point .. if i were you, i would just maintain this lifestyle .. it has pretty much proven that this will keep the weight off of you .. you will probably still peck away a pound at a time over the period ... but come on man, you have basically lost a fifth grader ! pat yourself on the back ...

congrats, man .. 20 pounds in two months is awesome .. tells me you probably have a pretty high metabolic rate too .. meaning you should have an easier time than the average guy keeping the weight off ..

10/25 - Calorie intake of 1407. I screwed up my sleep schedule this weekend, so I took a nap after work. Nap turned into SLEEP. I did not eat dinner or go work out. I need to make up a leg work out. I may do legs today and move the cardio day to Sunday my rest day.

I weighed in this morning 232.4/226.6

This made me laugh! This really sounds like my husband talking. Everytime I tell him I've lost weight, he tells me he found it.

And I have to disagree with Tigah Rag's dietitian friend. Although it's possible you may be done with weight loss at 80 lbs., there are tons (pun intended) of people on Weight Watchers who lose 100+ pounds either with diet and excercise or just diet alone.

I have seen people with amazing weight losses with no surgery....and most of these people keep the weight off.

she was just talking about the everyday, average joe, mom .. it takes an above average, dedicated person to lose more than that on their own is what she is saying .. otherwise shite like lap banding and lipo suction wouldn't exist ..

My weekdays are solid, but lately ive been doing 2 cheat days, not 1 on the weekend Weighing right after the weekend prob isnt the best for my head.

Football season is killing me, but im still going to go at it. I feel good, that is what matters the most.

Little confused here. Why do you post two weights? Is this the amount of weight lost in a certain time period?

Weight one is the starting weight and the second is the current weight.

How often should I weigh?

I find weighing every day fricks with my head

I get pissed when I gain weight after eating 1600 calories and exercising the previous day

I'm sure it's just water levels fluctuating but it still pisses me off
