My wife and I will be going to San Diego at the end of the month for 4 days. What are y’all’s best restaurant recommendations for the area? We will be staying at the Hotel del Coronado but are willing to travel up the coast.
TIA

The Brigantine in Del Mar (across from the racetrack and the beach) has excellent fish tacos.

Wife and I went early this past year. Definitely hit up The Henry for lunch. Really great spot and on Coronado a short walk from the Del.
We also did the fancy dinner at Born and Raised. It was very good but one of the more expensive meals I’ve had. Would recommend even for a few drinks or apps because the decor and vibe is awesome.
Ton of other places but those are the 2 I recommend. Hit up La Jolla one day and they have some great eats as well.

I really enjoyed the filet gorganzola from Buon Apetito in little Italy when I was there a few years back. It was fantastic.

I made a short trip there a few years ago. While our group wasn't big on seeking out the best spots, I managed to slip away to Sushi Ota. Highly recommend it if you like sushi.

They do, or did, a very good happy hour for the area/place. You can do it up on the rooftop, which is gorgeous.

Lived there for a few year between 04-08 while in the Marine corps. Don't sleep on all the little taco shops, especially ones that end on "bertos" lol. Have a California burrito for me!
