There are applications where it's awesome.

I prefer Crystal. But the Habenero Tabasco sauce is very good.

Tabasco works very well with beans, eggs, certain sauces and Bloody Marys. It's different from other hot sauces and seemingly in its own category.

I use several for different things, but almost never Tabasco. Some of their side flavors are good. But not the original.

Frank's for wing sauce or anything buffalo.

Louisiana or crystals for things I want to add some heat too and have that certain flavor they have. Usually for soup, hot slaw, etc.

Then I have a homemade habernero sauce similar to Marie Sharp's for that dab on cheese with a cracker, etc. Hot with a lot of flavor.

Cannot believe no one has mentioned Tiger Sauce. LOVE that stuff… on everything.

Also, try mixing it with ranch for a pizza dip.

Likely nostalgia, but OG tabasco in gumbo is the shite. Otherwise, no real use for it in my house. My grandpa would keep the gallon glass bottle around and refill his bottles. Many of my childhood memories of him involve sitting in his tiny Gueydan kitchen and eating his gumbo.

You gotta try the other sauces.
Green on salads
Chipotle on anything BBQ, with mayo
Sweet and Spicy on fried chicken
Sriracha is better than Rooster sriracha
I’m not a fan of original sauce on anything except pizza
That being said I also enjoy Cholula and Louisiana but frick Frank’s.

It's not my favorite, but Tabasco is awesome in gumbo, stews, sauces, or soups.

And strangely enough, pizza.

I don't know why Frank's exists. It sucks.

Wonder if Frank knows Texas Pete, who isn't actually from Texas. And probably isn't really named Pete.

Marie Claire’s. Legendary as far as I’m concerned.

Fwiw, I’m a pepper head and craft my own reaper hot sauce and still have other brand sauces that takes up a whole side of the fridge door.

I like the original for some things. But if you use a drop too much, you'll end up with a hard hit of a vinegar taste and not much pepper.

Yeah, it just doesn't have alot of flavor compared to other sauces. It's just hot vinegar for the most part. It reminds me more of the pepper sauce used to put on turnip greens than a flavorful hot sauce.

I like heat, but I like flavor too.

Yeah I'm not that guy.

At this instant, I have Crystal, Tabasco (original), and Habanero Tabasco in the cabinet....not counting all the jerk and buffalo sauces I use for chicken. I can say that the original Tabasco sauce is consumed much slower than the others.

El Yucateco makes a Caribbean style sauce that is hard to find in stores but has been a top 5 of mine for 20 years since I first had it in Isla Mujeres. Eating fish tacos sweating in the heat and just adding more heat with the sauce because it was so damn good.

The original Tabasco is great on a ham sandwich with mayo and lettuce. For most other uses, I favor Louisiana hot sauce. Crystal is OK, but to me Louisiana just has a better taste. Maybe it's because that's the brand I grew up eating.

It’s probably sounds more ambitious than it is. usually just 2-3x a year depending on the harvest.

Reapers are insanely hot but they can be tamed (at least enough for me) both in processing and consumption. For example, adding coconut milk, mango, pineapple, etc will take the edge off.

But my consistent favorite is minimal addins, just reapers, garlic and onion.

Last batch I tried fermented reaper sauce. It was really good as an alternate choice but the jury is still out. Need to try another batch.

Tobasco Chipotle is fricking awesome

But original tobasco doesn't really work as a condiment, but I often use it in recipes.

Tapitio and Cholula are better. Crystal, Franks and Louisiana have more versatility

Gotta pay for all that marketing I guess

Ever notice in just about any restaurant scene in movie etc., you can spot a bottle of Tobasco on the table with other condiments. I have even spotted on British TV restaurant scenes.
