That statement came from a place of deep anger, this I can tell you.
I actually did LOL when I read it, actually still amused by it. Hah.

I plan on trying the Boot and comparing it to other Kolsch styles on the market today.

This is the detail if anyone is interested:
Sounds like they are trying to reinvent amber.
The Boot - Louisiana Exclusive
Over thirty years ago, we planted our flag in the Boot to brew for the way we love to live. The Boot is a crisp, refreshing brew made proudly and sold only within our home state. Brewed with white wheat, oats, and barley, hopped with Hallertau Blanc and fermented with German Kolsch yeast as a thanks to the folks who have been with us from the start.

great raft made a very good kolsch (compared to the few I have had)
Glad Abita had to foresight not to put it in $10 bombers.

I wanted to try their newest coffee stout until I saw that price.

I've yet to see a post from anyone here making fun of Abita drinkers. If someone has evidence, please post it. I do see the opposite though. A guy hating on people for researching beer while at teh store.
And AlxTgr, you are the biggest IPA and IPA drinker hater on this board. Rarely do you have a post here that you aren't bitching about IPA's. I've thought it was you just trolling, but you might actually think this way.
Where did the IPA touch you to give you so much angst against IPA's?

I quit drinking craft beerbeer a together because of these kinds of attitudes. It used to be about the beer and the comraderie. Now it's off the train tracks spinning toward the canyon of faux intellectualism.

Old mad joy? The barrel aged one. It's pretty good but don't age it. Its a drink now, last years wasn't very good with a year age on it.
I am not a huge fan of their coffee brown.
Now, their saison's are all worth the price. Those beers are fantastic.

Wait, you quit drinking craft beer because of internet people? Really?

I think it was just bourbon street coffee stout. I saw that then saw Founders breakfast Stout and Mudbug Cafe Au Lait (another local) so I went with the Mudbug to try it out.

Old Mad Joy is a baltic porter. I don't really care for the the style, as i find it too thin (haven't had OMJ). But my experience with aging a baltic porter is that they don't hold up very well.

You stopped drinking a kind of beer because of other people's attitudes?

is faux trollism a thing?
It might be. If you read his comments on IPA it seems like it's a personal thing. I've been thinking he's been trolling, but he's kept up the schtick very long. Either he's a really good troll or really has a personal vendetta against a beer style. Either way it doesn't make much sense.

I was talking about the Abita Bourbon Street Coffee Stout being a $10 bomber.
