Anyone know where to get an uncooked single boneless turkey breast in New Orleans? Don’t want to buy a whole double breast with the bone if I don’t have to. So far I’ve been to Rouses, Breaux Mart, Zuppardos, and Wal-Mart without any luck.

LINK Obviously no HEB here but that’s exactly what I’m looking for. Feel like I used to see them all the time but nothing this year. TIA

Dorignacs has a bone in. Pretty easy to remove.

Check Whole Foods. I picked one up at the BR location yesterday. Was over priced at 7.99lb but wanted one to smoke TX style. I think it’s just under 6lb

not sure where to find boneless but Canseco's has the bone-in breast for $0.99/LB.

You paid $7.99 a lb. for a near 6 lb. turkey breast? That comes to $48 when figuring in tax for a turkey breast...........rotflmao:......

There had to be a Winn-Dixie relatively close by to get one a hell of a lot cheaper.

Look for “turkey breast roast”. Lakeview Grocery has them. I mistakenly bought them when they were advertising “ $0.99/lb” for frozen turkey breast. Picked up two turkey breast roasts and it ended up being $30sh dollars. I kept them to make sandwhich meat. I bought a whole turkey for like $17 yesterday so doesnt make too much economic sense

I know, ridiculous… but I’ve never seen the bigger ones around BR. I’ve only seen the little 2-3 lb butter ball ones

what’s your aversion to deboning a whole breast? It takes just a couple minutes

These are usually in nets. I’ve always thought they were made up of more than 1 breast/muscle. Have you ever taken one out of the net? If so, is it one solid muscle?

Ended up grabbing this at Wal-Mart. Had to dig through the freezer to find them. Was looking for fresh but this will do. Thanks! ??

I've done it a couple of times. Plan to this Thanksgiving too.

They are one muscle but the netting helps keep it together. The tenderloin separates sometimes, but I haven't had a problem with that. I do wish they were bigger though.

Edit: On second thought, I don't think they include the tenderloin anyway. Just take the net off, season and reshape the breast lobe. The bottom is a little "raggedy" but the top looks normal. It tightens up when you smoke it. Have had no problems with it so far.

Here are some pictures...

Before the "wrap"

After slicing. You can tell the pieces hold together pretty well.
