-This game was the turning point for me, step down in story telling, the open world concept was not done well. I really hated this after how good Origins was.
I've tried to pick up Inquisition many times, and I always loose interest right after the party reaches that big castle.
The open world is really just unconnected slabs of land with monsters strewn about. There wasn't much in the way of memorable side content like in previous games.
I actually felt like Andromeda was almost the exact same game, but I guess I just like Mass Effect's combat and game world a good bit more.

After a week of play I can say with confidence that I regret purchasing this shite game.
The "open world" requires fricking loading screen everywhere you go. Every zone feels exactly the same. Every mission is the same. The hub city is dead and boring. Combat is fun, but that is literally the only saving grace. 99% of this game is trash.
What the frick were they thinking.

They tanked a game in one of the biggest rpg franchises in gaming history

BFV, SW Battlefront, and Anthem are all flops. EA is taking hit after hit, but APEX legends will keep them a float

Huge thread on the subreddit. A player was testing loadouts and realized the strongest guns in the game: default lvl 1s
BioWare’s response was it is a bug based on there design to scale enemies based on weapon strength. They literally admitted they developed a looter shooter where the enemies get stronger as you get better loot. You can’t make this shite up.

WoW did this in open world stuff. You could basically level in any zone in any order.
As far as instances/raids go, no, they don't get stronger. What would the point of gear even be then?

The stupidity is tying the enemy’s stats to gear level, not character level.
The way they built the free play world is just stupid as well.
It should be more like Destiny where you ping in others based on vicinity, not just load with only 4 people.

For those who want to have more lol:
The guy used a legendary version of a weapon that it took hours and hours to grind for against a general trash enemy with no armor or shield - 8 body shots to kill it. This is in their "Grandmaster" level of difficulty which is a step above "Hard"
The level 1 version of that same gun: 4 body shots.
Literally twice as strong, but the damage numbers popping up were a fraction of the damage numbers from the legendary version.
It proved that enemies scale harder depending on what level gun is being shot at them. You quite literally get weaker as you go. Compounding this, the level 1 guns and abilities were scaled even easier so it amplified the effect, at least the way I understand it.
This all basically proved that damage numbers and stat boosts mean frick all in the grand scheme of things. The game has no possibility of min/max approaches to building like it's peers have because no numbers given actually mean anything

They screwed up and increased drop rates again last night while fixing the fact that support skills didn't drop.
Naturally another revolt is happening now that they fixed it.

This is more entertaining than the game.

Yup. People are losing their shite on r/Anthemthegame
I jumped into the game this weekend because I was bored. When you actually get through the horrible hub location and 4 loading screens and actually get to PLAY the game, it is super super fun. The problem lies with end game loot, horrible UI, loading screens out of the arse (want to look at / change gear? loading screen in and out of the menu).
Think about how ludicrous this is: If you are out in free play trying out a new piece of gear or whatever, but you want to change something? You have to go through 4 loading screens to get back to actually playing the game again. That wouldn't be terrible if the loads weren't upwards of 1.5 minutes on console.
All that being said, the combat and movement is great when playing.

I went back to playing Destiny 2 and can't get over what a superior game it is. For all its flaws, it's a blast to shoot things, getting new gear is rewarding, and there's a shitload of content now. If nothing else, Anthem at least gave me a greater appreciation of Destiny and Bungie. I hope they can recover now that they're out from under Activision because damn they make a smooth game.

Saturday's patch (PS4), was that the one that supposedly "fixes" the console crashing bug?

Supposedly. I played 3 hours Saturday and 4 yesterday to finish off the story and nary a crash or disconnect. Also couldn't cook an egg on top of my ps4, so that's good too I guess.
