I get in a fight with a guy in the apartments on Dam
We both end up at a stand off peeking a wall. We can both see each other because of the third person.
I tell him that we are both clearly blood thirsty and that we should team up and just run around the map killing solos. No need for one of our games to be cut short.
That I had nothing to lose in death and everything to gain by freeing up some stash space.
He agrees. We both agree to drop both guns on the ground as a sign of peace. I take my Anvil out of my backpack and hold him up. Told him that if I wanted him dead he would be and that this was my sign of trust.
We pick up our guns and run straight to control tower.
Between the two of us we kill 7 players in around 20mins.
My lowest point in the game so far. But I appreciate the Wolfpack and purple shotgun gained.

New to the game. Done a few runs and only friendlies so far.

Deleted the game today.
Killed a bastion all by myself with a hull cracker and fended off wasps/hornets with a shotgun. Got all the loot I could because there was only three minutes left in the round. Get to extraction and of course there is a rocketeer and handful of wasps. I kill some wasps, go hit extraction button, throw a sound grenade to lure the rocketeer away.
Extraction turns green and I dive in. Rocketeer hits me, I’m down but can still dial up extraction. Just as the bar is almost full some **** comes in last second and kills me. Not even enough time to take my shite. I’m done. Yall can have that game.

This game is a trip man…
I’m not a big PvP’er, especially the older I get. So it’s nice that not every drop is a sweat fest.
I’ve only dropped in solos, and I’d say 80% or more interactions have been friendly. I’m typically friendly but every now and then you just gotta pop some folks to keep it interesting. And if I’m bringing a key in I’m shooting first, asking questions later. That loot is mine haha
Couple of fun interactions:
Came across one dude who was absolutely drunk out of his mind. Had to guide him back to an extraction like a dang sherpa. He was sipping on some Arkansas-made vodka that he said tasted like shite so he was drinking it all just to get rid of it.
Hollered at a group of three, they wanted to merc some arcs. So we went hunting and cleared the lobby of every arc we could find until we all ran out of ammo and extracted together.
Also have had some funny death comms, especially when you kill someone but get insta-zapped by an arc yourself and go down. Quickly goes from “wtf why’d you shoot me” to “hold me, let’s go out as brothers”

You gotta bring a hatch key if you’re bringing all that in unless this was a night raid.
I pretty much always bring a key now since I can craft them. Especially if I’m looking for purple arc parts. Hatch key and looting augments for the extra pockets.

Dont know bout you fellas but seems like its always a shoot first, ask questions later....if you even get to the questions part now. i don't know if its cuz of my level, and if there is some secret matchmaking that skews people to same levels, but i haven't had a friendly encounter in days. Literally shot in the back 3 separate times after helping someone.
i dont help anyone anymore . if anything i use voice coms to slow them down while i shoot them in the face.

Friendlies still exist. Mostly in solos.
I also wondered the same thing about hidden matchmaking based on level or gear or something but I am 55 and I still run into a fair amount of friendlies.
There will be more PvP as more people finish endgame and have nothing else to really do. Luckily the new map is where most of them go.

good luck. just be prepared to die a lot and lose your shite. you'll get more quality stuff and have good runs after. its not hard to recover the stash with guns and other valuables. especially if you know where to look for the better loot.
