Tales From The Borderlands is GOATed. Amazing game.

Didn't play the second one because it's a different studio and everyone said it was dogshit

The second one wasn't as good as the first, but I enjoyed it.

Not interested. The soy millennial writing was so apparent in the 3rd game that I just pretend like 2 is the last in the series

I disagree. There was an actual story with 2. I remember the first one we were headed to this all important vault and when we got there and beat it...........pretty letdown. 2 is the better game by far. However, for DLC, I'll give 1 the nod.

I don’t play many new games these days, but I restart Borderlands probably every 2 years and cap out a character on 1 and 2. They’re two of my favorite games because I can mindlessly kill stuff for a couple of hours and it’s still entertaining. I usually do one playthrough of 3, sometimes I don’t finish though. It’s just not nearly as good of a game, but the weapons are pretty cool so it has that.

I’ll give this one a shot but I don’t have high hopes that it will be anything like 1 and 2.

3 is better in every way except the writing. It's atrocious. Guns feel great and vaulting was an awesome addition. But I can stand anything anyone says.

Yeah 3 plays fine but it’s just uninteresting and downright boring through stretches.

This is one of those titles where you play with your brain turned completely off. Enjoy the loot and the explosions
This. All I care about in borderlands is if the weapon on the ground is stronger than what I’m using. lol dialogue

BL2 is one of the best games of its generation. Easily a top 10 Xbox360/PS3 game.

We were talking about the Tales series, not mainline 1 and 2

Completely agree with this. BL needs a villain like Jack

While he's an a-hole, I do find the pushback on 80 dollar games funny. Gamers as a whole pre-purchase digital games, and buy Madden of Duty every year, but 20 extra dollars is the real frustration.

Glad I'm not a fan of Borderlands since that's how they feel about it.

I think it’s just a really loud, vocal minority. I think the majority of gamers have been expecting the price increase for years. In fact, it’s been a pleasant surprise seeing smaller games voluntarily pricing themselves below the “standard” new release price. I think that kind of striation is good for the industry.

The big issue I have is that, despite the reduction in ancillary costs for these studios when it comes to digital games (lack of CD production, box art, cases, etc.), prices never improved for the consumer.

Somehow, removing the entire process of creating physical materials has made gaming far more expensive.

Explain it to me.

I would say that it’s more that it could no longer counter the price of inflation. N64 games were $60. $60 in 1996 is worth $122 today.

How much were they when you remove the cost of physical production?

My research shows that it cost anywhere from $30-60 to manufacture.

Let’s go with $30.

It would be ~$60 in cost today if you subtract the cost to manufacture a cartridge.

Digital only should have been selling for less from the beginning.

It never made any sense as to why physical and digital gaming cost the same.
