Mystery is right that fusions are badass. It's all i use for my heavy. The only reason I would change is if I got that Warcliff rocket launcher or whatever.

Regardless, Probably 90% of my rounds were finished before heavy even spawned in, in trials this weekend so I don't see it nearly as an issue at this point.

MIDA also is not OP IMO. It's overused because it's a very easy gun to get and it's an easy weapon to use.

I doubt the radar from ADS'ing will ever be gone because those are something that have been perks from the get go of Destiny 1.

And they have completely changed how radar works after ADS in this Destiny. It is not instantly back after ADS now.

I don't think it goes anywhere either. It is just my opinion that it should.

Well I would say 95% of the rounds I played heavy did spawn. It's like 30 secs into the round.

That Uriel is incredible.

I hate how good auto rifles are right now. I like trying to play positions rather than hosing down hallways, but frick it works too well to quit doing it.

Matchmaking is kinda weird too. Seems like in the "competitive" lobby I either wreck or get wrecked, not many close games so far.

"competitive"

They said it was bugged. I think the hot fix today may have adjusted the matchmaking.

But it's supposed to be more skill based matchmaking in that mode.

Trials seems to be random from all reports though. Just as likely to get a crap team at the end of a card as one at the beginning.

Yea, the competitive mode had some issues. They had said that going forward it is going to be tweaked to more of the skill based matchmaking where the quickplay is going to be connection based. I hope they keep it that way.

Trials is CBMM like it was at the start of D1. Of course people are already bitching about it, but forget that they were the same ones who bitched at the end of D1 because of SBMM.

CBMM is all luck of the draw. Not sure how/why people would complain to begin with. The subreddit pisses me off.

Yeah, I guess it depends on playstyle.

I probably have 4-5 heavy kills in like 30 or so matches. Even if I picked it up the round would more than likely end by the time I got in a place to use it.

Connection based is definitely way way WAYYYYYY better. I don't mind losing to a better player, I get the flaming scaulded red arse when I lose to some teleporting red bar dick head.

Yep. I loved the CBMM at the beginning of D1. Sure you can get steamrolled sometimes, but I also never felt cheated after those games. Just that I got my arse kicked. Man it was frustrating going into a game and watching people just be a bullet sponge and then kill you, then transport around the map. Give me CBMM with the threat of getting my shite pushed in every now and then any day.

That is not what I was referring to though. D1 had CBMM for trials but it also had a win based matchmaking the farther along you got in the card. Trials right now just seems to be CBMM completely As we 6-0'd a team for our 7th win last night but played a few good teams early on.

Oh, for whatever reason I thought early in D1 it was straight connection? Then when TTK came along they implemented win-based....I honestly didn't know there was win-based in TDB as well

There was always SBMM in crucible from day one in Destiny. I know this because of playing in some friends from TD's lobbies occasionally lol. They just decided to increase it way too high which made connections crap. Bungie is so secretive about it. I hate that. They even removed being able to see the people you play against connection bars.

What they did was increased the SBMM a lot.

But it was always there. Trust me I know, I played on a friends account one day in regular crucible and it was crazy how bad the players were because he wasn't that good at the time. That was standard crucible though.

Trials always had the goal of matchmaking you with teams that are on more wins later on your cards. Although you still got the occasional bad team later or good team early. The problem was the player base got smaller as the game got older. Meaning only good teams played trials.

They probably got tired of people reporting red bars so rather than deal with the red bars they just did away with it. Now it's a pain in the arse to report people, can't just check the game roster real quick for who that dickhead was that died 20 seconds after you shot him in the face.

Yep. My buddy played a game on my account once and went like 22-5 in skirmish. Didn't realize he was that much better than me

Also my theory. Why let the player base have proof of how shitty their match making code was.

Server issues last night so progress was slow. Just at 245. Been doing adventures, patrols, public events, and hunting down lost sectors which is kind of my favorite.

What is the fastest way to get light? Thus far, I've been grinding strikes, but it would seem that looking planetary engrams and random drops from adventures and public events would be just as efficient.
