Just beat Melania myself. Not proud of myself, but I spammed the heck out of swarm of flies. I got so sick of her dive bombing me and blowing me up. I'm having a hell of a time now fighting radagon and the elden beast.

Depends on whether you have a certain item to unlock a couple hidden areas. If you haven't been pursuing that questline, then you don't have much left at all. Maybe...a quarter?

Difficulty absolutely ramps up. Bosses bout to get dumb.

I got her straight up with the frosty Guts sword this time… in Ng+ I’m going to use a maxed out mimic tear, respec to her weaknesses and spam whatever works. Not dealing with that again.

I'd say the difficulty spike comes at Mountaintops (area after Capital)

Took down the Fire Giant and Captain Niall last night but haven't done "the cardinal sin" yet, want to make sure I haven't missed anything first. Checking out the Consecrated Snowfield

You need to finish White Face Varre’s quest line before the sin. You need to finish all the quest lines and areas accessible from the Snowfield before finishing the dungeon after the sin.

Black Knife Tiche upgraded is actually pretty good against her (and basically everything else) because of the damage over time, and Tiche is really slippery too so she gets hit less than other summons (so less healing off your summon for Melania).

Radahn was accidently nerfed by FromSoft on March 17th

They un-nerfed him, pretty happy I got the nerfed version tbh

https://www.gamesradar.com/elden-ring-patch-buffs-starscourge-radahns-attacks-back-to-where-they-should-be/

quote:

Beloved Elden Ring boss Starscourge Radahn was buffed in the game's most recent patch, and players are thrilled to see the legendary general taking names (almost) like the good old days.

As the official Elden Ring Twitter account announced today, Radahn was unintentionally nerfed in a previous update meant to reign in some of his wilier hitboxes. Today's update, patch 1.03, has restored the nerfed attacks to their intended damage levels, so we should now have the best version of the boss: a hard-hitting behemoth with a fair and readable attack range.

Bandai Namco didn't specify which attacks were affected by these changes, but anecdotal reports from players suggest that they've primarily tweaked Radahn's ranged attacks, most notably his warbow and gravity magic. Either way, patch 1.03 has definitely given Radahn a power boost, and many Elden Ring fans are over the moon, even if they are once again spitting out their own teeth at the Radahn Festival.

The game is pretty non-linear. I just got to the Mountaintops of the Giants after 90 hours and the frozen area over the weekend, that feels like where the spike occurs from their to end-game, as I'm a pretty powerful level 89 INT build with Luscast staff and Moonveil and Comet Azur is barely even taking normal enemies down even with the unlimited FP buff from the hidden tear.

If you are 101 at the capital you are pretty well over leveled, I cleared the capital with little to medium struggle at level 80-85, the next area should ramp it up a bit for you.

Ok, please excuse my noobishness, but does Stealth make up for it? My favorite classes in WoW are Hunters with Camouflage (ghetto Stealth that lasts a minute) and Rogues with inherent Stealth. Or… is this just a completely different system that Stealth doesn’t matter much?

I got too cocky. Godskin duo took like 2 hours and I only got through because I started using rune arcs. Malikath has my number now. Got down to like 10% health twice but couldn’t do it. I’m pure melee I may try a respec

Quick question...
Does crafting do anything important? I don't have time to throw a sticky bomb and I have an inventory full of sticks and stones and bones and flowers...

Only thing I've really crafted was items that cancel negative status relief items such as curing rot or poison.

Every once and a while I craft cotton to jump down to a far place without dying.

I have never used an offensive item in this game
