That sounds like a terrible idea. Their servers are going to shite themselves when it's released, but running the game right off the HD is appealing. Also, what about people whose ISPs have caps? A 10-15 gig game is going to eat right through that.

I was reading some of the IGN reader comments for the trailer and someone suggested that a few of the main characters get together to form a group of somesort. There are so many possibilities for the main character right now though.

i doubt it. i would think they would have a total redesign of the city. i would suggest adding the
Golden Gate Bridge. kinda like how they added the Statue of Liberty for Liberty City.

I think quite the opposite - given the scale of what we've seen thus far of Los Santos, if the game features all of San Andreas, it poses quite the challenge, and not only in sheer size.
Going back to San Andreas provides the devs with a wealth of environmental diversity, which is key- sun-bathed beaches, barrios, downtown areas (the three of which are quite different), countryside / mountainside / Redwood forests, oceans, and deserts.
Quite the challenge, especially if it's all as large and detailed if it appears to be. Even though we played Liberty City in III, the Liberty City in IV felt completely different, and, given the graphical fidelity and size of the world, really wasn't even comparable to the older Liberty City from III.
LA, SF, and Vegas definitely have a different "tone" than most other cities in the country - the difference in tone, culture, style, etc, between LA/SF/LV and Liberty City is far greater than between, say, Liberty City (NYC) and Chicago, St. Louis, Boston, D.C., etc...

I could swear I heard that. Perhaps you play as Tommy and CJ early on and then take over as the real Main protagonist later in the game?
Although I never got tattoos on my CJ...so that isn't my guy

It's rumored. Also imo CJ was a little darker complected
I dunno looks like a younger guy running from the cops, but also when they jump out of the back of that van it looks like the same guy along with maybe Tommy Vercetti.

since the predictions of the city in the game, this is my prediction for the game. individual cities that you can fly to or drive too using bridges. that way, they're far enough apart to where it would seem pointless to fly.
with it being so big, i also predict this:
ps3 version- 1 disc
xbox 360 version- 4 discs(one disc for each city)
PC- WGAF?
