ETA: At this current moment, all this really means is PS5 has been able to make more consoles. Both are selling out within minutes of any becoming available.
Dude you tried to say the Digital PS5 was comparable to the Series S
The demand for the PS5 is more than Xbox right now

The PS5 is just the better console all around. Unless you want game pass to open up a world shitty Indie games for you.
But get what you want. Your purchase won’t make or break the PS5’s clear dominance or make the Xbox’s failure any better.

Gaming Board still cannot pass up fellating Sony. Getting kind of creepy.
At this point it is pretty obvious who will be the eventual winner. One company has a long range plan and plenty of capital, the other has a really fast hard drive

I used to think MS was the way forward after the success of the 360...but the “longer range plan” just showed its success was due to the PS3’s failure.

Pretty sure we heard this line during the last gen release and how did that workout

Pretty sure everyone backed off that line when MSFT tossed out their plans when Sony and Gamestop whined like little girls. Kinect/Always On/Game Sharing/Illumiroom/etc. were all attempts at something different as well.
Sony pulled the ultimate switcheroo when they showed up with the GDDR5 memory. During dev time both consoles were rumored to have the same memory. That gave them the large foothold, because the large 3rd party games looked better. Exclusives came later and sealed it and PS5 is reaping the benefits of that.
Of course we should always remember history -
First it was this
Well shite happens and there is change

WUT.... even if all that was available was content from independent developers.. that content, at least the games Ive played has been great. Its actually one of the things I've like most about the service is I'm able discover lots of non AAA games that I may have overlooked. Not to mention the the games from EA Play, MS, and Bethesda. Look I'm not a fanboy. Sony had a much better system and line up last gen and I will pickup a PS5 soon. I hope both companies succeed but Microsoft is playing a different game now. Its not really about the XBox console anymore.

Yeah you can't really compare the two generations when developers aren't even stretching the tech yet.

So I got 3 years of GamePass for $1. It will probably go down as one of the best deals in the history of gaming for anyone that does it.
Sony even sees its end is soon and that is why in 2019 it was announced they are teaming with Microsoft on bringing the crap to the cloud and using Azure. That is right, big bad powerful Sony needs Microsoft to help them.
Microsoft will win the war, just enjoy the ride until it is over

Sony..much like everyone...well not everyone I guess...knows that MS is more than just a console developer. Plus if you can’t beat the PS5..might as well make money somehow.
Business is business.

Name of the game and why they win in the end. It is nice of Microsoft to give Sony a fighting chance in the new era of gaming though.

I guess that really depends on how you define winning. If Xcloud game streaming really takes off and every one with a smartphone or a TV (if a Firestick like device does come to fruition)is a potential GamePass user then I can see it really being a game changer. Gamepass is already a gamechanger imo but Sony could counter that with a service on its own. Really all this console war talk is silly. This isnt Sega vs Nintendo. The idea of one console manufacturer dominating another isnt what is at play here and the big 3 MS, Sony and Nintendo all have soemthing good to offer the consumer right now.

Honestly, what are you xbox fanboys even playing? At this point, you don't even have a say so in the debate.
PS5 continues to get better as more and more ps4 next-gen updates are pouring in.

Not a fan of the subscription model, as the nature of its success demands constant content output. As we've seen with basically every streaming service right now, the majority of the content is shite.
I'm fine with it for $1 until 2023 or whatever, but will think hard about it afterwards. Would just rather drop 60 on Elder Scrolls and Fallout rather than pay $15/mo or whatever it will be for 95% trash

This is so dumb. You ask what the XBox guys are even playing then talk about how you are playing old games
Sweet PS5 must be better because you can play old games better than before.
I have both. They are both fantastic machines with blazing fast load times. They each have their advantages.
This idea that one of the HAS TO WIN is just stupid. The competition is what makes them both great.

Xbox fanboys always moving goal posts. You guys were so sure about outselling the PS5 before launch. Now your back to resorting to “GaMePaSs iS FuTuRe” talking points again.
PlayStation is going to be the superior product going forward as it has been since the PS4 launch. Sony would have to really shoot themselves in the foot at this point to give up their stronghold on the console market.

Dust isn't settled until you can walk into any store and choose between the two of them.
Sony will sell more consoles as they do far better outside of the United States.

Even at $15.00 a month thats the price of 3 new games per year (or more if they jack the price up this gen.) so just looking at the current 1st party line up of releases coming this year I'm on board. Plus I only play one or two games a month so the output tempo of 6 month to one year old AAA games is perfect for me. I just finished Fallen Order, just started Doom Eternal, never played Control.
As far as the 95% trash that a bit hyperbolic dont you think? There is a lot of older but very good titles and some really good indie stuff there too. I probably would ve never played Edith Finch, HellBlade, Bloodstained, Plagues Tale if not for the service so I really dont get when people say it just of bunch of old games and crap indies.
I do see your point of how streaming services turn to shite factories and I guess we will have to see. Maybe thats will be what keep Sony going is there output of top notch quality exclusives that appeal to core gamers vs MS more casual gamer centric service. I'm very interested to see who MS acquires next.

Not a fanboy here. I own both. Market share doesn't ultimately matter. Revenue and profit does.
