I really want o play the game this year. I usally sim to the 4th quarter and if I'm losing I start the first play in the 4th quarter. If i'm winning i sim to the 2:00 mark. To get real stats what is a good marker for time. 5 minutes you have good games but horrible stats. any good sliders and time frame from anyone. no need for new thread about this.

This is the first time in about 10 years that I haven't purchased NCAA on the night it was released. Most everyone here seems to be pumping up the game. Does anyone have an objective critique now that you've had the game for a couple of days? Thanks.

Is it just me or is the computer's hurry up offense ridiculous? They can march down the field ridiculously fast...any ideas on stopping it?

I'm looking for the NCAA football scales....

Example:
4.4 forty time = 94 speed
bench 225 ten times = 88 stregnth
etc...this link had three cones equals agility, and a whole list of other things for CAPs....

I've seen the one posted here I think for forty tmes, but it's a link with 40 times, real life Vertical equals jump, real life bench press equals strength.

help please

I like the game overall. Decent improvement from last year and I'm having much better games.

One thing that really bothers me is when the RB catches the ball while standing still. Screens or quick curls are examples where as soon as he catches it, he takes a step or two back towards the QB. The defense then swarms and he is tackled for a loss or no gain.

The animations after getting hit are a bit off, too. It seems like the ballcarrier floats a bit while the animations change. Not a big deal, just goofy looking.

yea i hate that, it seems it happens everytime i do the WR screen he makes an unnecessary move backwards or sideways then defense swarms.

I love the new animations, too. I've just noticed that on some of them there is an awkward transition (I think they call it branching) where it seems like the player magically floats from one animation to another. Like he's hit and pushed sideways, then floats back up to where he's dragging the pile forward.

The animations look good, it's just the transition is often funky.

Just played my first dynasty game on AA won 38-6. Defense wrecked, Trindon took two KR back, and got caught by the fricking Punter on a PR. Up to this point just playing exhibition games I don't think I had even gotten to the 50. I was trying to run the ball, but they made Chuck fumble on the first fricking play. JJ fumbled TWICE, one of which looked like bullshite, AND Murphy fumbled.

Teams are passing all over me, no matter what defense I call, whether man, zone, man zone, combo, nickel, dime, 3-4, 4-3, etc, etc. What the hell do I need to do to stop the insanity, I am 5 and 16 online. Is there a setting, like sliders for online play, or something else... As far as strategy, I set passing to tight zone, not loose zones. What the hell am I doing wrong? Please help

I'm not good enough to give advice

Which position do you use when you play? I'm usually a lineman so that way I don't frick up the pass coverage haha.

It's better than previous years. It used to be quicker to call a play from the huddle than do no-huddle. Because of this, I think they've changed it when a first down happens to starting the clock when the center arrives, rather than when the ball is set. Technically, it's not right, but I think it's better for the game this way.

Are you getting beat deep? This could be the problem. I just play with normal, and it works fine for me.

Ironically, safety blitzes usually help me stop the pass (seems odd, if you think about it). If you call a safety blitz and "show blitz", they move up to the line, and can usually apply quick pressure to the QB. Don't do this all the time, though, or your opponent will pick up, but every now and then, it works.

But hey it's your dynasty, more power to you, lol.

Sweet!

I can't seem to call a fair catch on a kickoff... is that something that's "In the game" that they forgot to put in the game?

With 3 seconds left in the half and a short kick, I'd definitely want a fair catch to give me an opportunity for a Hail Mary.

Anyone else getting a ton of drops? Lafell and TToliver are dropping like 3 a game (combined) with everyone else adding up to another 2 or 3. Some are understandable, but Lafell and TToliver have dropped some surefire TDs.

Fair catch on 360 - hit "Y" while the ball is in the air. It worked pre-patch for me, haven't tried it post-patch.

If someone kicks it in the end zone to someone not named Holiday, I just fair catch to save the 2 seconds where the player kneels. In years past I would get a comment from one of the announcers something like, "You don't see that often." They didn't say anything this year.

I've done plenty of fair catches on punt returns. Y just didn't work for me on kickoff returns (at least on the two that I tried).
