I am pissed off that they did not give you a chance to beat the shite out of that kid that steals your wallet in st Denis.
The kid as you walk in the gun shop?
I chased that mofo through town and caught him in an alley. Beat the piss out of him. Had like 3 witnesses. Shot them with my gun. Whistled for my horse. Now I can't go back until I pay my bounty

So, I hijacked a train last night. Hardly got shite from it because the POLICE kept coming after me. I tried to drive the train to a secluded area but couldn't get rid of the Wanted sign. So I hopped off and ran away. I ended up with a $350 bounty.
Does anyone know how many chapters there are?

The bounty system sucks so bad.
Wearing a psycho mask, in clothes I have never worn before. Robbed a store.
Immediate bounty on Arthur Morgan. WTF.
This has happened multiple times. Half the time whatever profit I make on anything goes to paying the stupid bounty. How am I supposed to make money outside of the main missions in this game if I cant rob shite?
Don't tell me to hunt stuff. That was only viable in RDR1. In this game you hunt for 20 min and make $15. frick that.
Rob a train in a disguise? Bounty. Store? Bounty.
That is my most hated part of the game. Also - a lot of the time, missions the game FORCES you to do end up with you having a $50+ bounty on your head. You have to pay to play the missions they make you play. That is stupid and bad planning.

Fast travel train ride to Riggs station, hop on roof and run to the front and hijack the train. Drive it onto the bridge so that the engine is just a little past the start of the guard rails on the bridge. Kill the guards on the train. Police won't be able to get on the bridge/train and passengers won't be able to leave. Take all the time you want robbing the train. Exit at the front of the train, and if you positioned it correctly, you'll be able to stay on the bridge and escape your wanted status.

I went ahead and did the gold bar glitch. Only did it once and had enough money to do anything I would need. This game is so in depth I didn't want to have to worry about money.

I had this happen last night, and it really pissed me off. I don't care about paying the bounty, but if I get a $150 bounty doing a story mission they should cancel it out once the mission is over. Getting $15 for completing the mission and having to pay off a $150 bounty is bull shite.

Just go get in a fist fight and let the cops arrest you. You'll lose a portion of your cash but like 10-20% depending on how high your bounty is.

I thought about it and I have a save from before I got any gold bars, but I ultimately decided against it. Just got into chapter 3, I have all the camp upgrades for the tents, all the food ones, all the ammo ones. I have every gun I can have pimped out to the max, express ammo for everything, upgraded bandoliers and holsters, got the white Arabian horse, pimped out my saddle.
I still have about $400 in my pocket and a few hundred in the camp box. I am doing just fine, but the reality is that the game does everything it can to take money from you, while making getting money pretty hard. A good buffalo pelt only sells for about $6 and you can only carry 1 at a time? No thanks. In RDR1, I could kill falcons for their feathers all day long and make a good bit of money in 20-30 min, easily enough to get a few top tier upgrades.

5 or 6 plus epilogue

So I still lose money either way. Sounds easier to just pay my bounty.

Got to say, I'm f'ing sick of fake Louisiana at this point. The world is insanely detailed and impressive everywhere and I appreciate the variety but putting all the actual Western stuff at the end of a 100+ hour game was an odd choice. Guess it's supposed to be build up but like this is a cowboy/western game but thus far it's been nothing but snowy mountains, forests, and swamps.

I mean, would you rather lose $1000 or say $150 or whatever 10-20% of the cash you have on hand at the time? I'm assuming if you're complaining about a bounty it is significant enough to actually matter. If you're complaining about a $50 bounty, then just pay it, it is nothing.

I'm on team "frick paying a bounty".
For the longest I assumed I'd get a pardon letter or something eventually so I just killed all who came for me or died

Yep
Thank god you can still take trains with bounties. If it gets too high and I can barely do any side missions because of bounty hunters, I'll get in a fist fight to reset it, but otherwise bring it on.

I might get that way. I just hate having the possibility of losing money or good shite because the game decided people in the late 18th century have x-ray vision and can see through my psycho mask and clothes I have never worn.
