There are tons of bots already (or more likely afk rubber banded joysticks).
Almost every series I joined there were 3-4 people going nothing but walking in circles.

I've yet to have really any issues. Ran into some slowdowns for sure some last night, but nothing like what you've experienced.
Played with a friend of mine who was getting kicked a good bit though. We were in the same session and in a posse together, so I don't know if i'd say it is completely on Rockstar, but who knows.

I've been running into issues with stranger missions were you go to the stranger listen to them explain the mission then it never prompts you to go to a destination. You get stuck in this limbo where its just you and your posse but no other players. The only workaround I have found is to quick join an online match and then drop back to free roam.

I had the same thing happen to me and all of other stranger missions disappeared on my map. I just close the game and it fixed it for me. I got kicked only twice the last two days and I played about 5 hours. The only day I had major trouble was Friday night. I ran up on 4 to 5 players yesterday without anyone trying to kill me.

There needs to be more butcher shops located up north. It's almost pointless to go up in the mountains to hunt with the distance you have to ride just to sell some stuff.
And I know its been stated multiple times, but the economy really needs to be tweaked. It's ridiculous.

Another easy way to make some money is up in o'creagh's run. If you break down and buy the lake lure, that lake is full of salmon which sell for $4.25 each. I made $50 in about 10 minutes up there. It isn't thrilling, but very easy. Basically just watched a movie and fished for a while. Don't have to worry about pelts or keeping anything on the horse.

My guess is stranger missions, pvp modes, and repeating main missions all get a buff on payouts. It sounds like this week is balancing the game but next week could be new content.

I think they are willing to tweak the economy now because if enough people get frustrated and quit early on they might not come back when the store is open and microtransactions are online.
AKA - Rockstar is trying to CYA and prevent the loss of a ton of $$ in microtransactions.

The bow is great for this too. There is a pig pen in valentine proper that always spawns at least one perfect pig. In the main ranch they are under the stable marked (PIGS). There is also another pig farm that always includes 2 perfect pigs and 2 good pigs. it is just west of Valentine, kind of in between the "T" and the "I" in valentine. For that one you should skin all 4 and bring the two perfect carcasses to the butcher. If you don't have two horses, you can bring one on foot (it's not far) or you can lasso him if he's not skinned. Then skin at the butcher.

Wow, anyone who spends money for gold bars or in game currency are fools.
Although Rockstars shill base are starting to speak out about rdr2 bullshite in game currency. Many unhappy customers with the in game currency and how much grinding needs to be done. Hell, battlefront 2 had less grinding for heroes.
