Anyone ever played? I just started a 2nd playthrough after having played it a couple years ago. It is very similar to a zelda game, with lots of adventure and action. There are casual enemies, checkpoints and boss fights. You are set in a sprawling, interconnected world, where you are rewarded for attention to detail and seeing with a unique perspective. You unlock clues and skills as you discover new areas. These clues are in the form of a manual or booklet you assemble through discovery of pages throughout the world.

The game uses a made up language with some english words tossed in, recreating what it was like for foreign players to play early games, such as zelda- trial and error while reading a manual and piecing together the few english words the player knew. Pair all that with a beautiful soundtrack, and It really is a piece of art. I cannot recommend it enough for someone looking for something to pick up.

Love it, but got to the arena where you fight 6 or so bosses back to back and took a break. Then Shadow of the Erd Tree came out, them moved on to Lies of P and now Space Marines 2.

Need to go back and finish it. Is a great game.

Really enjoyed this game when it first came out on PlayStation.

If you like this style game, “Deaths Door” is very good also, very similar game play without the manual in a fake language.

Dude love deaths door. I probably played it 4 times through and got all the trophies. I may have even written a similar recommendation for it on here

Fun game, if you like this I’d try Hades. It’s also a top-down but it’s a roguelike so when you die you start all the way back at the beginning. It’s one of the best games I’ve ever played.

Hades might be favorite game of all time, was so good, can’t wait for the sequel.

Enter the Gungeon is another top down rogue like that is awesome. Graphics similar to Zelda on Super Nintendo.

Tunic and Deaths door were both awesome. Those two inspired me to dust off the SNES and play Zelda again.

I loved Hades as well. Played through the entire story twice, but did not get all the trophies i dont think. Once the heat level got to a certain point, i was done. I wasnt trying to hate myself playing that.
Have yall tried the 2nd one? I was hesitant to get it for fear it may just be basically the exact same game and its still early access

I'm on Xbox so haven't tried it yet, will definitely get it once it comes out though.

Just started turning up the heat but I still have a lot of the side stories to finish.
