Historically? Not at all. Never been much better than average. Flusher, though

Look at the stratification, he's gaining maybe a stroke over 4 rounds on the field. Data golf gives much better insight into what's really going on that straight Tour stats.

He's so good because he bombs it off the tee and is one of the best iron players in the world

Max and Billy shot 5 under today best ball which was the worst score from any American team. I guess he played down to his competition as they beat the #109 player in the world, Taylor Pendrith.

Good thing they aren’t playing stroke play I guess.

President’s Cup is not even competitive. It’s like the Globetrotters and Generals. Good idea, in theory, but as a practical matter it is just not much of a competition or worth watching by the weekend. They need to reformat the play to try to make it more competitive. It’s not good right now.

In fairness, on some tours that would be the 28th best golfer. So not bad really

Taylor Pendrith was in contention to win a few tournaments ago.

He can bomb the ball, Just needs some more experience.

For a blow out presidents cup, the crowds look very big. Good to see for such a mediocre product - people are still very interested.

Pendrith was 2 back going into the back 9. He was definitely in contention. His putter wasn't working for him on Sunday

Tony Finau was up like 6 going into 17. He hit his tee shots on 17 into the grandstand and in the water in 18 in the water.

So no, Pendrith did not "almost win" a few tournaments ago, considering he has one other top 10 outside of that
