I was close to joining a few years ago but held off. I wanted to see if they got the greens in good condition. I like the course and know they are trying hard to get it better. I’m only concerned with having a nice course to play; sadly around here there are no affordable club options. Maybe Chateau?

It’s weird to me that there is enough demand in the river parishes to have 4 courses, but not one of them is in great shape. They need to consolidate some resources. Laplace for sure does not need 2 courses a mile apart.

One problem I see consistently with the "country club" model is that there are only so many prime Saturday morning tee times. Most places have set member tee times every week which is a deterrent to new members, who wants to join a club knowing you will never get a preferred tee time paying the same amount as someone with 8am every Saturday locked up.

Cold cheap beer and good greens will have them knocking the door down. Restaurant, fitness center, pool are all a waste of money!
