I play FRCC every Sunday morning that I can (it’s close to the house). I’m not very good but all it takes is that one shot- that one drive that’s better than expected, an iron shot that is as pure as it gets, or a wedge shot that inexplicably pin high and lands just as I imagined- and All
The frustration of the previous holes is gone. If I ever get good, I hope I don’t lose the enjoyment Those rare good shots bring to me.

Did it rain the night before or something?

You’re the second person that’s said it was cart path only this week when it doesn’t look like there’s been any rain

I golf for relaxation. However, I’m a weirdo. I need to have some money on the line. I need to focus on my game. Otherwise, I’m in a field hitting balls. I start thinking about everything else in life.

The escape into the competition is the relaxation for me.

On Sunday, #7 Par 4 390 yards. My dad's second shot was from about 190-200 yards out so he pulled out the 3 wood. He'd been complaining this season that he's lost his distance. Happens when you're 78. Nice shot, it's headed towards the green, that one is headed toward the pin, roll, disappear. Eagle.

Those are the shots that keep you coming back.
