Amanda was a POS for asking about it.
In her defense, I am sure that the producers told her to ask and shame on them.

I don't think you can just blame Amanda for it. I'm sure CBS was in her ear telling her to ask.

This isn't DJ at Whistling Straits. Had Amanda told him his ball moved on 16 and that he was heading back to 18 tee for a playoff, that'd be one thing. But he won the tournament, even with the penalty, and he knew within 2 seconds of doing the math that he still won with the penalty.
Instead of wondering what the conversation was like when someone tells him, I get to know what the conversation was like. I thought it was a great question. Rahm handled it really well. He didn't defend it, just said he never saw it moved and would respect the ruling. A true class act, if you will.

I was watching Saturday and could have swore I saw Tony's ball moved to when he was addressing it in the rough. So I thought they had relaxed on that rule.

Unless every shot from every player has a camera zoomed in on the back dimple of the golf ball, then calling a penalty from that view is bullshite. You're not protecting the field at that point.

He handled it fine and still won.
It really wasn’t and shouldn’t be a big deal.
Rahm is climbing on my favorite golfers list. Didn’t mind him getting all pissed either. Dude is going to win a lot in the next 5 years.

I thought he handled the interview very well. I’ve been indifferent about him before, but I’m now a fan. Definitely don’t mind the occasional angry outburst in the course; reminds me of a younger me.

Kinda agree. Almost imperceptible movement that would never have been seen without the super zoom shot.

So movement not apparent to the naked eye, but obvious on super slow motion is leading the game down a slippery slope. I agree, it’s BS and thankfully it didn’t change the outcome of the tourney.

Bet there was a ton of that going on all weekend honestly.
Glad it didn't change the outcome, would have been very controversial.
It's water under the bridge at this point but I hope it doesn't set too big of a precedent.

I believe the ball ocelated (sp) it did change position. It did move but it returned to it's original position.
No it didn't.

Yea it didn't move because of wind, it moved because of the forward pressing of the grass behind the ball. Do you think pro's do that on purpose? Hell yea especially if the grass is against you.
Posted on 7/20/20 at 1:48 pm to VernonPLSUfan
And have it fall deeper into the grass? The pressing down is to get a feel for the lie, not to move the ball.

Regardless, I have to think that happens almost every weekend on tour and especially this past weekend.
