Brooks and Morokawa (however you spell it) can take a hike. If Hovland and Homa go that would disappoint me.

I know. He was T5 in three of four majors in 2021. My point is he’s said he doesn’t even love golf that much — just plays it because he’s good and can make a career out of it lol

That’s the perfect person for LIV. Get said to play in exhibition tourneys

Pretty sure he came out and said they offered him 9 figures for Norman's role

They can all go be very wealthy and live in obscurity.

the ideal player for LIV.

The big name players they have pulled are all guys they get a bunch of hate on the PGA tour, Brooks, PReed, Bryson, Na, Poulter, etc. I guess they feel like if they are going to be hated by the fans anyway they may as well get a big pay day while its available.

I'd be happy if he went. Probably my least favorite player on tour. Dude is such a douche.

But people acting like that is nothing, you're wrong about that. He is a pretty big name in the sport, still a top 20 player, and has won 4 majors. That's pretty big.

I think Bryson and DJ are bigger names than people are trying to make out too. Fans might pretend they are washed up because they dont like LIV, but if it has those guys already going over this early on, more pretty big names are going to follow over the next few years.

I don't really want it to succeed, but I think it's here to stay.

Jack is being sued by his own company for trying to some extent getting involved in the LIV

sort of but not exactly. He has stated he twice turned down LIV when they asked him to essentially do what Greg Norman is doing. The lawsuit alleges he negotiated with LIV without informing the board of the company. To say he "tried to get involved with LIV" is an assumption. The lawsuit his company filed doesn't even specifically make that claim (probably for good reason). The biggest part of that lawsuit isn't even about LIV but rather actual compensation he received from the DP Tour and a video game, which is alleged violates his contract with Nicklaus Companies. The LIV stuff almost seems like they're seeking an advisory opinion without actually seeking an advisory opinion based on the hypothetical of him having actually accepted LIV's offer without board approval.

Brooks hasn’t been a top 20 player in a year. You can say injuries or whatever but dude has been mailing it in for months.

Same with Bryson, same with Reed. Again, they all fit the same mold.

The complaint alleges three specific instances of Nicklaus’ breach including receiving a substantial cash payment for promoting the 2022 Soudal Open, a recently played DP World Tour event in Belgium, wrongful conduct involving a video game being developed with the Masters and PGA Tour, and wrongful conduct regarding negotiations with the PIF Saudi Investment Fund where Nicklaus was reportedly offered $100 million to join the startup LIV Golf Invitational Series.
