Does anyone on the board have any experience with removing the stock shaft from a LAB and installing an aftermarket one?

That makes no sense. LAB is designed very particularly for perfect balance. If you dont get an exact match with a professional to do it you’re just throwing money away

If you want to replace you send it back to LAB

Curious, how much difference can an aftermarket shaft in a putter make? I know a driver shaft can make a huge difference in the fact that there's a lot of force applied to it. I have a LAB DF3 and couldn't make myself spend the extra $300 for the Accra shaft.

I wouldn’t. If you do make sure a professional gets the balance right.

Lots of risk there and LAB putters aren’t cheap or I’d have more than 1.

I'd probably go through LAB if I was going to change the shaft. But then at that point, I may look at selling my previous putter and just getting a new one from them.

You can replace them, it'll just be off balance. So offsets one of the benefits of even owning a LAB.

You can send it to them and I think they charge $100 to rebalance with a new shaft. I think.
