But he won a liv golf tournament. It just doesn’t matter for golf purposes. If he plays so well for a full season on Liv that it just gets him into a grand slam then it will be a golf story. But right now he isn’t involved in any golf tournaments that actually matter

I got to see AK at the LIV promotions event a few weeks back. I posted on here about it. His ball striking looked good and he was burning a ton of edges with his putts. Still, I could not imagine him coming back from 5 shots against two of the best players in the world when he was having trouble finishing third against the likes of Matt Jones, Keirnan Vincent and a bunch of guys from Asian tour whose names are impossible to spell

In terms of majors, I know its obviously unlikely. But honestly, there is a pathway now with LIV getting OWGR points. AK got 23 points for winning Adelaide. In comparison, Patrick Reed got 20 OWGR points for winning the Qatar Masters.

I think he's enjoying this one for now and we'll see what his form looks like when he resurfaces in a few weeks.

dude, every golf show I've watched this week has talked about Anthony Kim and what a moment it was. For instance, Colt Knost, who was in the middle of covering a PGA Tour event, gave him a shutout during the AT&T and talked him about him more on his Subpar podcast. You can hate LIV and acknowledge what he did was amazing and that it was/is a big story in the sport. not just because he won a tournament, which by itself was crazy given where he was. But he won the biggest tournament on that tour and did it by kicking Rahm's and Bryson's asses, the two indisputable best golfers on that tour, while playing in their group. And it was obviously a big enough story for someone at a press conference for the Genesis Open to ask Tiger about it.
