I think it is done purposely to make the season championship interesting.
I can appreciate you admitting that. Both systems are dumb. The FedEx cup is like the college post season to me. I get why things have gotten to where they are, but I rather go back to the how it was before all the changes: a FedEx cup champion and Tour Champion can be different golfers.

I'm in Indy, headed out there on Sunday. May go tomorrow as well, haven't decided yet

Sounds like there should be big crowds out there (15-20K/day)

So the AK experiment will be over after this weekend.

Yes, thru 7 holes he is DFL at +3.
Seems the relegation competition will be between Ogletree & Pereira trying to pass up Stenson

Wonder if Poulter will rejoin the Euro tour after this year.

Wtf happened to Koepka. He was good last year and has just fallen off lately.

Maybe he is checked out. I honestly would be surprised if he is back on LIV next year if his contract is up

He's literally won 5 of the 12 tournaments and Rahm is only 12 points back without winning a tournament.
Looking more into it, while Niemann has won 5/12 events. Rahm has beat him in 7 out of 12 tournaments including 3 2nd place finishes out of those 7.
All that to say, Niemann just needs to finish ahead of Rahm to win the individual championship this weekend & he’s currently ahead by 3 shots.
59 watch for Munoz

What a dart from 126y out on his 18th hole. Birdie putt coming up for a 59.
ETA: drains it!! 14 birdies on par 71 course with a double bogey!

Stenson T-4 currently at -11 so seems he is sticking around.
Ogletree & Poulter T14 at -7.
Projections after R2…. Looking like Stenson will be the only remaining captain for Majesticks GC. Or Poulter/Westwood non-playing captains

Wait, relegation and the “open system” for liv is only the very last 6 of 54 golfers being dropped?
Only 3 of 20 Premier League teams are relegated?

Comparing golf relegation to the Premier League isn't a great comparison, but the Premier League still relegates a higher percentage of their participants than LIV.

11 percent vs 15 percent. Which percentage, precisely, makes a league a laughing stock and the other a premier league???

Why don’t you compare liv to the other golf league regarding how losing status/open system and relegation works? Maybe im crazy but that seems like a better comparison than soccer

If LIV can manage to get to 11% this year without going back on some of the relegation, that would be a step in the right direction of not being a laughingstock.

He had a child. Some people respond to that well and some don't. It's 50/50. I think he lost a bit of his edge.

Great start to the final round
DJ vs Munoz
Rahm vs Niemann
& the constant movement of guys around the drop zone.

3 birdies in a row for Westwood to stay out of the drop zone
