I would think it is not that big of a deal to those players. They really do not need to win to make money so if something goes wrong with a club or something they'll be alright. I would guess they have 2 or 3 sets with them.

They don’t travel with extra sets of golf clubs. Maybe an extra driver and putter, but that is about it.

Rumored:
Cam Smith
Brooks
Ancer
Kokrak
HV3
Cam Smith would be the only legit “loss” out of that group.

Don’t the WGCs not have cuts?
The cut is being good enough to qualify. Top 64 or top 50. There are some other qualifiers, but it’s like the tour championship, if you qualify you have made the cut. LIV is far from WGC as far as competition. It’s marquee player just shot +10 for the three day tourney.

Cam Smith would be big.

PGA Canadian Open buried LIV this weekend. Rory, JT, Finau, Rose going toe to toe for the W. This was a great tournament.
Love how Rory, JT, etc. showed up and played great this weekend.
Would hate to see Cam Smith cross over.

Cam Smith would be a big loss, but personally I would hate to see HV3 go. He is one of my favorite players.

Yeah. The issue is, as some have said here all along, that the PGA Tour has boxed themselves into a corner. They drew a line in the sand with such an extreme position I really don’t think they can back track. It’s unimaginable that the leadership misread their membership by such a huge margin. Professional golf is about to be changed and I honestly think the PGA Tour is just as much to blame as this start up league.

Competition with the PGA is a good thing
Why? From your standpoint, what was the PGA doing wrong?
I watched some of the LIV tournament streaming last Friday. It was complete shite, and I'm not kidding at all.
Seems the PGA can actually broadcast a golf tournament pretty damn well.
So from your chair as a fan watching pro golf, what was the PGA lacking on? The PGA has an amazing product to watch. What do you expect this "competition" to bring about from the PGA for us fans of watching golf?

I agree. I’m against LIV because I love the PGA and the structure of having the worlds best competing week in and week out. When people start crying about the Saudis is where they lose me. The hypocrisy of journalists whining about Saudis while their employers are in China’s pockets is disgusting and almost makes me want LIV to succeed.

But this rarely happens outside of the majors.

Just off the top of my head: The Players, Northern Trust, BMW, Tour Championship, WGC Match Play, Genesis, Arnold Palmer, Byron Nelson, Wells Fargo, Memorial.
There’s probably another 5-6 with really good fields.

Travelers in a couple weeks already has 6 of the top 10 committed.
Mingo just lies

And the bottom of the field will probably be horrible with the likes of John Houston who isn't competitive on the Champions Tour.
I don't know how I could lie on an objective number that I told you was sourced from.
Just because you don't like the answer doesn't mean it's not true.
