Mid June could be pretty toasty

So how much of the north course are they gonna take away to make a pro-level practice area?

Hopefully all of it. It would be better served as a practice facility.

The publication reports it has received information from a source that the below is the finalized schedule for LIV Golf in 2026.
The only possible changes will involve dates.

You really don't want 90% of the folks who play the north to clog up the south.

Feel like New Orleans and Spain should swap.
Or NO swap with DC

Tee sheets are already full enough. Will make it even worse removing an 18 hole public course.

They need to dump some money into that course for these guys to play it

Of course they will, but they are on the clock now. I believe it is a multi-year deal too so they’ll be back in 27/28.

Bayou Oaks the week after the US Open
Hard to believe they are not going back to Dallas, probably their best crowds of the year in the US. They are leaving Dallas with a metro population of over 7 million with tons to do to come to a dirty, crime ridden city where drinking and piss smells abound.

They are out of Texas completely next year. I’d assume because of the deal with state of LA tourism budget.
Outside of that it looks like they must have ongoing multi-year deals with Virgina, Indy, & Detroit. I think they just like Chicago as they’ve been there every year since they started

It’s going to be piping hot out there.
Bayou oaks has a ton of work to get the range ready. I doubt professional golfers are interested in the “top tracer” devices they have and hitting off mats.
It seems like the state is just going after anything they can at this point. P1 Offshore racing, LIV golf, etc
Not opposed to it, but interesting nonetheless.

The state spent at least $4.5 million for the Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana in 2015.
The weather was terrible that weekend and the event was lightly attended. It was supposed to be a 3 year contract but the race was cancelled after 1 year.

Will be interesting to gauge LIV attendance in June in NOLA. Even if I did like LiV, it would be hard for me to go out there during that time of the year. April for the Zurich is already pretty hot.

Hong Kong
Singapore
South Africa
Three straight weeks. Yikes . And that’s your lead into the masters. I can’t imagine any of the LIV players are happy with that schedule

Having a golf event in SE Louisiana in the middle of summer is LIV in a nutshell.

This is a thread about LIV Nola but I understand you have to find something negative. They get 2 weeks off for Masters Prep. It seems LIV is giving the major players what they want with time off before the majors except the PGA Championship
They had 2 international trips in 2025 pre Masters, plus a US event the week before. I’d imagine they prefer the 2026 schedule (& by they I mean Bryson, Rahm, Tyrell, Koepka, DJ, Sergio, Phil)

It’s a thread discussing the liv schedule. That is a brutal 3 week stretch and there is zero golf played on this continent to prep for masters
It’s worth noting. It’s ok

It’s not. It sounds like dates aren’t set in stone either, but locations are
